Another delightful "cheapie"...very well constructed, with an even burn and draw, and a satisfying aroma to boot...this is the kind of value that has "hooked" me on cigars, and CBID!!

Your review sounds like the practical no-nonsense kind of review I like. Also,I know this isn't the trade board (and please don't flame me for it), but I've wanted to try the Nicaraguan Sandwiches but didn't want to buy 50 only to find out they are a dud. Okay. I have just posted my trade request on the trade board.

I also have something to say about the "official rules" that everyone seems determined to enforce. Among the rules, and I quote:

"Some examples of unreasonable messages may include the use of profanity, advertising or commercial purposes, competing web sites, or disparaging an individual, a race or religion, a company, or website."

There is a steady stream of profanity in all forums, and more than half of the picture posts are soft porn shots, yet there is no "look out, he's gonna get it now" from the self-appointed enforcers.

The "rules" seem to be selectively enforced, especially against those of us who are new to the forum. Why? That's a good question.

As for the trade, I would still like to do it, but it is unlikely that Double D is interested now that the well has been poisoned by the enforcers.

Yes, RCK, I was offended. Other members, or should I say other high profile members, of the forum do this kind of "threadjack" all the time without any comment at all. Yet when I, a lowly someone who has only done one true trade does so, the negative response is almost immediate.

Camper,oOn the Carlso Torano 1916 thread, I came across the same situation that you did and simply wrote "Hmm... may mosey on down to the TRADES board, if anyone wants to follow me...." this as well as asking for an email address, I think, is an appropriate way to handle that without clogging up and misdirecting the thread - But let me make one point - it's not that big a deal. You're request for a trade doesn't just wreck the whole thread - it can easily be picked up again - and any mild, humorous jests and prodding to "follow the rules" are likewise not a big deal and shouldn't be disturbing.

Now, to prove my point:

I haven't had that particular nic sandwich robusto, but my local shop happens to 'make' some and they are my 'go to' smoke! I find it's the perfect balance of flavor and value when you don't have time to sit and enjoy a good gar or don't want something overpowering. But I've found them very inconsistent. Glad you found a winner, Double D - thanks for the heads up.
