I do love readheads. Full of fire they are.

The shadow box in the background is a collection of 20 years of my past. It is a reminder to me that there are thousands of men and women in other countries fighting for the freedom of millions of people that they will never know. Trying to give them a better life like you and I enjoy everyday. It also reminds me of the friends that I lost in combat. I still remember their names. And there are a lot of names. They gave to each of us something that we cannot repay. It also reminds me of their families and what they have given. The medals mean nothing to me. The medals and 4 dollars will get you a half decent cigar at the local cigar shop. The wife just likes them. I would give them all back to see my friends again. God bless them and their families. Yours too!!

She is also just begining to smoke the big sticks. We are in Cincinnati, OH. She is a California girl and I am from Kentucky. We found each other in Hawaii when we were both in the Navy. In other words, for us, home is where you smoke your cigar.

1st - Whereabouts in KY brother? Pike County here, although living in Huntington, WV at present.

2nd - Purple Heart, DSC, etc. the medals themselves may not mean anything, but what you did that they awarded them for is worth it's weight in diamonds for our country. For that, and the ultimate sacrifice made by so many of your brothers, I thank you and them.
