I will be in the Fort Walton/Pensacola are at the end of this month for a couople of days. Does anyone have any suggestions for cigars and food.

I highly recommend Sammy's on the Island in FWB. The food ain't great but the scenery is very nice. They use to be cigar friendly but I don't know if that's still the case since Florida got stupid on that whole smoking in the workplace thing

That is great, thanks. I lived in Navarre for about 2 years but it has been awhile since I have been back.

Anyone know of a decent cigar shop in the area?

The last time I was in the area was a little over a year ago. The only shop I can think of is in the mall and wasn't very impressive. I recommend taking your own stash with you.

Thanks for thee advice Pentz8. I think that is exactly what I am going to do but I will look around a little to see if I can find any hidden jewels. I will let all know if I find anything since there seems to be very little known about that area around here (just in case someone wanted to vist the emerald coast).

I go over to Destin a couple of times a year. Harbor Cigars near Sandestin is a great cigar shop. Don't know about any in Ft. Walton or Pensacola however.

You must go to McGuire's in Destin for their lunch Rueben Sandwich...absolutely the best sandwich I have ever eaten..there must be 1 lb. of corned beef on this thing, and the plate with potato salad is only $6.95!! Also, you can get the Senate Bean soup for $.12/bowl, the same price it has been served for at the US Senate cafeteria for centuries!!

Their Scotch Ale, at 7.5% alcohol, rocks too!! Don't believe it is in season, though, typically a spring offering.
