hey guys, what the heck do they mean by boutique cigar?

Boutique as in a boutique where someone buys a high dollar item.

Example, "my wife picked up her Gucci purse at the boutique down the street."

Actually, all boutique means is 'specialty shop' ...

I regards to cigars, wines, beer, etc., it has come to signify those 'small' companies who produce limited product, opting for quality ... rather than quantity.

In addition, a boutique cigar is a cigar manufactured by a company that does not grow their own tobacco.
