I won two 5-packs of the Takoma Corona. Has anyone ever tried this stick? Any opinions or comments would be appreciated. I bought them for my poker group which is playing on Thursday night. The reviews on the Internet seemed good. Thanks in advance!

I'll second dz130's commnet. Good yard smoke or a good poker night smoke if you're not wanting a quality smoke for the game.

Right up there with anything you can buy at a drug store. They are pretty harmless for handing out to non-cigar smokers at the poker table. They have a pre-cut V notch so you don't have to pass a cutter around or teach someone how to cut a cigar.

I too got a couple of fivers of these and they were pretty bad IMHO. They were badly underfilled, got hot easily, and had a disagreeable flavor. I think Swisher Sweets are better (LOL)...

I won 20 of them for $5 and am quite happy with the purchase although I haven't made much effort to buy any more. It's a well rounded smoke with an easy draw that delivers much more than you would expect from a mass produced cigar from the corner drug store. They might actually have too much flavor for someone who is not a cigar smoker.

Bear in mind that they are not quite as cheap as the price would imply because they burn quickly.

I think they are machine made. What do you other guys think?

10 of these for $4 is an awesome deal. I tried one tonight and was very impressed. They are (in my opinion) better than your daily, average drugstore brand. I agree, they pack some flavor which is a word of caution for people who do not smoke sticks on a weekly basis. All in all, my poker group will be impressed. Thanks for the replies!
