I haven't won a lot this year. After CBid introduced the Watch List I started downloading into a spreadsheet closed bids I had been following. Over the past year and a half winning bids on similar lots have gone higher, much higher in some cases, slightly in others. Winning bids are now very close to mail order but still lower than local prices (Houston). For example, a box of AF Don Carlos Presidentes went last week for a bid of $193. That's a great price compared to catalogue prices of $225 to $265,or $325 retail. However, after looking I found a box for $145. I support the local shops because they're a solid source of super premiums you can't find anywhere else, but otherwise I'm back to dredging prices on search engines.
