Anyone ever have these? I won a 5 pack of Super Belicocos here described as dark brown Sungrown wrapper. What i received looks alot like a sts.connecticut shade. Called customer service and they assured me they were SG. Not having had them before i have nothing to compare to and none of my local shops have them. Smoked on and while not bad, it wasn't the flavor I have come to expect from a SG. Any thoughts?

They don't have to be dark brown to be sungrown. Good cigars. Maybe you should let them hibernate for a while before trying another. I'd suggest sending them to me, but then they wouldn't get much age.

my local shop was giving one away , i let it sleep for a while . mistake i should of never awakened it from sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah, the Oliva O (red) is a sun groan and it's not very dark. Those Montesino's are great cigars.

If your Montesino is a Belicoso or Pyramid shape it is SunGrown. The natural and maduro Montesino's don't have tapered ends. (Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.)

I have 4 from a 5 pack I won here napping beside some Fuente SG Cuban Beli's. The Cuban Beli's are alot darker.

Set this puppies aside for a loooong while, they'll turn better. I had some, smoked one and was okay, so I let them rest, 6 months later I had one, a lot better, but I will let it rest 6 more, I imagine they will be yummy by then. My .02
