For those of you that have had the opportunity to try both the DC #7 madie and a PAM. All things being equal (price, similar ring gauge) what would you choose to smoke regularly? I have more experience with the DC and It's been so long since I had a PAM that I can’t remember. I’m looking to add another high end box to my collection and actually on a per stick breakdown I can find DCs cheaper then say a PAM Imperial or Pyramide.

I would take a PAM Torp over a DC#7 maddie any day.

Ok one heard from but what if I told you you could smoke DCs for $10 versus PAMs for $14 would you still choose the PAM? Every third cigar is free!

PAM...blows away anything Fuente has to offer!

I don't know about that one. Fuente? Anjeo? WOAM? Short Story? FFOX?

Now, back to the original thread...PAM anyday. That is if you want to smoke a cigar with flavor. DC's are bland, construction is always flawless, but it's not my cup of tea. The Maximus line...only had 3 of them. I liked them, but it's still no PAM. If you're looking for a cheaper "replacement", then you need a Bucanero Z...but that more of a PAN then a PAM.

Opinions are like a$$holes...everyone's got one!

I second the PAM. Not taking age in consideration.

You would seriously compare a Buc to a PAM or PAN? That's crazy (in my demented mind)! The closest thing I can find is a Perdomo Estate Seleccion Maduro.

i.am.steve --- yes, I would also compare a Buc 'Z' to a PAN, without hesitation.

I know for a fact, that Robert respects and admires greatly the 'blends and rollers' of Padron ... and has strived and continues to model many of his new lines after the finer Padron cigars.

ironic that this thread came about. my friend is in florida for vacation. he just had the opportunity to buy a box of opusx or pam. he called to see what our thoughts were. well, we're splitting a box of pams 🙂
