Ok, guys. I've gotten some ideas from that 'other site' and thought I'd mix it up a little in here (not that it isn't getting spicy enough with these old timers returning) - plus I've just come off a 15 trade/ 5 box pass run and now I'm bored (although my wife is rejoicing that my trips to the p.o. are over...). So I was thinking.... it seems like so many of the brotherhood like to 'outbomb' each other... I wonder what it would look like if we did a type of chain bomb where I started it off bombing someone and then they turned around and bombed back, but instead of back to me - they did it to someone else who in turn would find another target (and on and on)! This would be like a 'Pay It Forward' thing, where the reciever bombs whoever they want to in 'retaliation' (according to the bomb they recieved) - the receivers would post what was in the bomb and then we could see how the bomb 'progresses' - the idea is that you bomb equal to whatever you receive, but I have a feeling it might just snowball.... I would leave the choice of recipient completely up to sender (as long as they are a poster on cbid) and could help with tracking down addresses if needed. So, what do you think? Am I explaining this well?

Actually, since this whole thing would be a 'myster bomb' - there's no list. I would just send the bomb to someone. They would post that they got it and what was in it. And then it's up to them to find someone to send the next bomb to. It would be a surprise for the recipient. If they want to bomb someone but don't have their address, I could try tracking it down, and if someone wanted to bomb a newbie, I could have all newbies who haven't done a trade yet email me their address and keep a newbie database for that purpose. All that being said - I'm just looking for some confirmation that this is a good idea and I'm explaining it properly. Obviously you would want to pick someone who you assume would continue it, but it will probably die eventually. Cool?

Are there any rules? Since there isn't a list can someone get bombed more than once and others not at all? I am confused =^[~~~

Thank you - I knew I could count on you Albert to not understand something (wow, that was mean...) - I'll include a list of rules with my bomb - basically it will go like this:

You have just received Ethan's Bouncing Bomb (name TBD)
Your instructions are:
Post that you reveived it and what you found inside. Enjoy the cigars.
Now choose an unsuspecting target and send them a similar bomb. If you need an address, or the name of a newbie, let me know and I'll provide it.
Copy this piece of paper and include it in the bomb.
Share the BOTL love wherever you go.

So the idea is - every couple of days, we'll get a post from someone saying that they got the Ethan's Bouncing Bomb and they'll tell us what was in it. Should be interesting....

All clear now?

Oh, to answer coma's questions - the targets are completely the choice of the recipient - so some will probably not get bombed and some may get bombed twice if someone decides to do so - we'll just have to see...part of the fun is in the suspense...

The only thing i would say is maybe include a list...where people can write down who they are bombing...that way the person recieving it can look at past recipients...thinking this my deter too many multiple bombings...

It should still work out. There may be a person or a few who deserve multiple bombs. They in turn have to send out the next one so eventually it will correct itself. There will always be folks who never get bombed maybe it is oversight and maybe not.
