From my understanding, CAO hasn't produced in Costa Rica in quite awhile as production has shifted elsewhere.

Our last box of CAO Maduros from Tabacalera Tambor (Costa Rica) were produced in early 1999.

I have not a clue as to who/what retailer might still be hanging on to a box - we surely have none here at the office.

A little help here: Who remembers additional brands that were made at Tabacalera Tambor by Don Douglas.
Here's what comes to mind: CAO, Bucanero, Bahia, Hoja XXO, Estevan Cruz...What else?

Incidently...the brand, La Floridita, was discussed on another thread. They were reported to be cigars rolled at Tabacalera Tambor, under Don Douglas's direction for Bahia. I took delivery on a bundle yesterday. Indeed, the seal on the bundle is from Costa Rica and states they were made at Tabacaler Tambor under the direction of Don Douglas. They look very nice and were really cheap.
