In case y'al don't get over to the Picture Posts - pls make an exception and check out The Penguin's posting called "Donations to Our Warriors" Parts 1 - 3.
This True BOTL has organized the Brotherhood into action and has just sent packages totalling 1216 Cigars ! ! ! ! to various Units in Iraq and Afghanistan. That's not a typo --- One Thousand Two Hundred Sixteen Cigars - plus personal accesories and items that are in short supply to our Troops in the Big Sandbox !!
Then - he calls on his friends and family in the Educational Field and organizes a letter writing campaign and cards and a big banner to be sent to our Nation's Warriors...
And he is still planning on sending another compilation of smokes to West Point for their inclusion into some of the "care package" that are sent out from the Military Academy every few weeks.
BOTL - I believe we are seeing one of the greatest and most moving acts of Brotherhood and unselfish sacrifice I have ever witnessed on this or any Cigar Board !

AWESOME and OUTSTANDING Work Penguin !

God Bless You and Yours - and all of our Service Men and Women - May They Return Home Safely and Soon !!
WTG Bro. Kevin !!!! Mega-HOOAH !

As Cruiser would say: Amen!

Coming from you Doc that really means alot! It has been my pleasure getting this mission started and it is almost complete. I couldn't have done it without the other BOTL's here on C-Bid. Thanks to them, this all came true and went off without a hitch 🙂 I am amazed by the generosity of the people here on this board and other cigar boadrds. We throw around the term "brother" alot but this really shows how much of a brotherhood there is here at C-Bid. Plus, you can't forget to thank C-Bid 🙂 Without their forum, I would not have been able to get the word out about this. THANK YOU everyone for helping me do this and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was a wonderful experience and I'm sure it will bring many smiles to our troops over there durring the holidays...and thats what it's all about 🙂

Fabulous, fabulous support from all the folks who contributed. But somebody had to conceive, organize and pull this off.

My hat is off to Penguin on this terrific effort. Thanks for giving us a platform where we could show our support for the troops in Iraq and Afganistan.
