I'd be a little embarrassed to detail all the riches he bestowed. I don't think this Newbie Sampler idea is all about each BOTL outdoing the other in generosity. If it is let me know, and I will divulge 😉

Suffice it to say that he laid on me well over a dozen cigars; are all top drawer; I have never tried any of these brands; and more than 1 of them were ISOM.

There are some very good descriptions of the generosity of the 'old hands' on this board. Well let me say that HarleyDave did not leave me envying ANYONE.

billy--quick update. the trade between jdouglas and gvlagos has been very successfully completed and i'd like to recommend george as a trader to everyone here on the board. i think he was pleased with the smokes he received and i was certainly pleased with the ones he sent me, including the bonus smokes!! i think that the real idea that we are trying to share is that it is not the contents of the package, but rather the keeping of the commitment, that is important. george certainly lived up to his end of the trade....and i'd be proud to trade with him again anytime. best regards, john

and thank you so much. For those of you who didnt' read my post in the "cigars and related" section, John went FAR FAR FAR beyond what agreed on and really took care of a Newbie. Bonus sticks is an understatement, he really outdid himself, and i can't thank him enough. Just an amazing guy who sent amazing sticks. He completed his end of the trade quickly and i had the cigars 2 days after we spoke.
