at my local shop just loafing around and got on discussion with "the MAN" (owner) and got to talking bout differences on smokes....so i learned that instead of paying outragious $ for pus X when the vsg's are exactly the same with just different shapes and bands for a fraction of the cost ....also if you like the ashton aged maduro ashton makes the same cigar called ALCAZAR maduro ( which you will not know about for they do not want you to buy a $2 dollar smoke rather than a $10 smoke) just a little bit of info for all out there that want the premies without the pricetag.

The VSG's are NOT the same. Smell and Opus and smell a VSG...two different animals. You can tell this without even lighting it up. Go back and and tell the owner to let you take a wiff of the two. About the others...don't know 🙂

I find VSG's to a medium+ strength cigar and an FFOX to be a medium to full strength cigar. They also taste different. BTW,only AF knows what goes into what. Anybody saying that they know is just guessing. X

Funny thing because i just got back from my local shop....and i started talking about Opus X, and he said...just buy the VSG's it the same cigar....none the less...i was surprise to see this same post right here today....
what are they thinking?

To me the VSG is more full strength than the Opus X. But they are definitely not the same blend.

The only dif. is one is good VSG and one is not OpuS

There are a lot of retailers out there that hate AF because they do not get to be an Opus retailer. I have found these to be the most likely to have "something that is the same cigar".
Sounds like this guy is trying to sell what he has, and says they are the same in the since they are both good.
