I am out of room in my humidor and I have a box of 25 coming from cbid tomorrow. I have ordered a new humidor and don't expect it until next week. Anyway to rig something up to last a week? I do not have any round humidifiers or anything. Any ideas?

at the very worst, you could just keep the box sealed for the week until you get your new humi. keep it in a room around 70 degrees. the cigs should be fine.
or, you can buy some "oasis" material (that's what on the inside of humidifiers) and get some of it wet with distilled water, put it either in a bag or aluminum foil (to keep the cigs from getting wet, and put it in the box with them.

A week isnt very long. Just put it in a large ziplock baggie and if you live in a dry climate throw a moist but not really wet sponge in there. You will be ok...

equake, you're just delaying the inevitable. In a month your new humi will be full and you'll have even more cigars coming with no place to put them. Time for a "coolerdor." Do a search of this forum's archives or Google for that matter and you will find mucho info on how to make one. They're cheap to make and easy to maintain. And soon you will need another, 'cause you're weak and you just can't help yourself. We understand and are here for you.

You don't need to search... I'll post direction for a quick and dirty coolerador.

1) Buy a 42 - 50 qt. Cooler. 1)Get as much Spanish
Cedar as you can from all your old boxes and line the bottom and sides of the cooer.(you can buy a sheet of this in some Building supply stores but make sure it is Spanish Cedar). 3) Go by a florists shop and buy one bar of floral oasis foam. 4) Go by your local pharmacy and buy a 8 or 16 oz. bottle of propylene glycol. 5) go by your local grocery and buy a gallon of distilled water.

Now you've got all the parts, it's time to assemble.
1) Wash your cooler with a bleach based solution and allow to dry.
2) Place a piece of plastic about 12" X 12" on the lower left side of your cooler.
3) Line the rest of the cooler with as much cedar as you were able to get.
4) Mix your PG and distilled water to a 50/50 ratio.
5) Cut the floral foam in thirds and completely saturate the foam in the 50/50 mixture. (This will take about 15 minutes and don't forget to store the left over oasis for future use).
6) Once saturated, place the floral oasis on the plastic in the bottom of the cooler.
7) Wipe the entire inside of the cooler down with a damp (not wet) sponge (including the spanish cedar.)
8) Close the lid and let sit for 1 day.
9) Open the lid and place your cigars inside.

You now have a coolerador big enough to hold about 1/4 of my cigars. 🙂
