isn't it strange that everyone else in the town call their land farms.

Rick,

Do you know what the total acreage of the Bush Ranch is and what breakdown of crops being grown is? It might help you better decide whether it is a ranch or a farm and once and for all sway you into voting for Bush's re-election this year! I know this issue is the only thing holding you up on throwing your support fully behind him.

Definition of Ranch:

1. An extensive farm, especially in the western United States, on which large herds of cattle, sheep, or horses are raised.
2. A large farm on which a particular crop or kind of animal is raised: a mink ranch.
3. A house in which the owner of an extensive farm lives.

Definition of Farm:

1. A tract of land cultivated for the purpose of agricultural production.

2. A tract of land devoted to the raising and breeding of domestic animals.
An area of water devoted to the raising, breeding, or production of a specific aquatic animal: a trout farm; an oyster farm.
3. An area of land devoted to the storage of a commodity or the emplacement of a group of devices: a tank farm; an antenna farm.

Rick, last I checked, President Bush's property is 1600 acres and would be considered extensive thus meeting the definition of ranch not farm. Now that your question is answered, I would like to welcome you into the Republican Party and I'm sure the president will appreciate your newly committed support in the upcoming election. You'll be contacted soon about some fund-raising opportunities in your area.

In one of the other pics,I think GW should have cut the branches with the chainsaw BEFORE setting them on fire. But some folks like to disregard safety for expedience.

now I'm curious. Just what crops or livestock do they raise at the Bush Ranch? I never see him tending to anything except the scrub brush. So is he really a farmer or a rancher if he doesn't raise crops or livestock? BTW, Owning a horse or two doesn't make one a farmer or a rancher.

Personally I don't care what he calls his property. My brother bought an old farm a long time ago just so he could live in the country. Never raised a single thing on it but still called it a farm.

HockeyDad, don't go confusing the issue with facts. Remember, it's all about feeling and emotion, facts will simply confuse people.

President Lyndon B. Johnson had a large property in Texas, similar to President George W Bush. It was known as LBJ Ranch. Both of these "ranches" were used for cattle.

Why was LBJ's ranch not called a farm?

...Two presidents, Texas, ranches instead of farms, cattle, war time presidencies...Way too many similarities. I reach the conclusion that Lyndon B. Johnson has been re-incarnated as George W. Bush.

The great ranch conspiracy is now solved.

Jeez....everyone os looking for an angle. GW probably wipes with Charmin which probably has a little less recyclable material. Now that would be some fodder for the liberals. B.F.D.!!!

GW raises horses and cattle. Therefore he has a ranch. BIG $#@&^ DEAL. Now Rick has people arguing symantics.

Robby, you were right on with your ideas.
You can throw all the logic and facts at these people and all you'll get in response is anger, sarcasm and louder voices. It's sad that some can't accept the truth at times, but it is a fact.
Good call though, but it's just not worth the effort with some people.

rick = reasonable size home earned by rick with no help from wealthy friends of my father. two adult children that have never been arrested and that are not drunks. not far from the tree falls the acorn

gw = big "ranch" paid for by the devious income given to him through various stock manipulations, including dumping stock like martha stewart, using inside information, by wealthy friends of his father, including the extra stock given him as a result of his use of emminent domain to provide texas ball club a lot of property to build a stadium, when governer of texas, resulting in enormous profits to his benefactors who tipped him well. cases of lawsuits being settled now in favor of the people that owned property that were screwed by the coverner.
see commandment #10.

JEALOUSY? of what, his ability to ride other's coat tails. not very likely.

"KEEPER OF THE FREE WORLD" if there is a god, please help us. if not, someone help us.
