There were some rumblings about an O.C. Herf in Irvine. I would like to revive the conversation and at the risk of being "slapped", a little self-promotion. The Steve Carson Band will be performing at the Sing Sing in the Irvine Spectrum Sun. Jan. 11th @6:30 PM. All ages welcome. There are nearly sixty confirmed guest and if any "locals" are interested it would be a great way to meet some new smoking buddies and see one of the best bands ever to come out of Orange County. Yes I brought it up when a herf was in motion last month but I guess that fell apart. Am I offensive yet? I don't mean to be, I just havn't had the response I thought it might.

They have a very nice attached patio. We will be nearly 100 guest strong and about15%-20% will have a gar after the show. There will be a ticket at the door for anybody that mentions my username.

My neighbor's son is a soundman, and I saw one of his bands down there a few months ago--been looking for a good excuse to go back. They serve microbrew from Rock Bottom Brewing (right nextdoor), and the Cuban Cigar Factory is just down the walk. Sounds like a cool evening to me!

Whoa, just finished listening to the mp3's on the website. Great stuff! Most of the bands that play there rock pretty hard, but I definitely lean toward the more melodic, acoustic-based rock. Can't wait!

I hope that none of you showed up and payed to get in, there were ten tickets at the door for anyone asking for Buddha. If anyone was there let me know what you thought of the show. It does somehow break my heart I had to bring back the box of CAO Blacks and the box of assorted Perdomos and put them back in their nest (LOL). Oh well maybe next time.

Damn, now I'm *really* sorry I missed it! The Mrs. decided to make enchiladas for dinner last night, which is quite a project, and I had to stick around to man the grill. Let us know if they do that again!
