I did a search, and I've seen snippets of you guys' opinions on Puros Indios, but nothing definitive.
What do you think about Puros Indios? Please give me a review if you could.

Beta,
I have only smoked one PI Maduro, so I guess I can't give a long drawn out review, but the one I had was great! Smooth wrapper for maduro, great construction, even & slow burn. I would say toasty with some kick. Like many cigars, age in the humi probably does em' good.

Don't bid on any Beta....I have a box of the maduro rothchilde comin' to my house soon, and I would be more than willing to share.

Beta,
No need for a trade...I saw the presidente deal, but got my box for the same price, and will probably go into the coolidor for a year or so, so if a handful of em' "run-away".....all the better! Us youngins gotta stick together every once in a while.

Hey, a good cigar doesn't expect you to take it to dinner and a movie, and then still not deliver! If it wasn't what you expected, you not out more than $5-$10

j/k
Actually gorob23 sent me some of the Special Aged Pyramids, and they were great!

I have always been a fan of PI. Also, as I've always said, if you don't mind mix fill, you can't go wrong with Flor del Todo. These are made from PI scraps.

They have the PI flavor profile, the prices (especially cBid) can't be beat, and if you let them sit for 6 months+, they really ROCK. Just my 2 cents.

IP is a mild to medium cigar that is never harsh. It typically burns cool and even with a white/grey ash and a consistant and unabtrosive spice laden taste profile. People often tell me they like the aroma ( I purchase the Rothschild Mad. last month from CB. The only thing I dislike about them, is they do tend to leave you with a case of ash tray breath that other premiums don't. You can always get them for under $2.00 a stick on CB, so I say go for it.

- R. Harris from Honduras writes: I know a little about Puro Indios as I live in Honduras and have visited Rolando Reyes Sr. factory in Danli touring his facility and smoking many of his cigars. Bluntly they are strong full bodied smokes in the Cuban tradition. The tobacco is cuban seed, grown locally and well cured allowing for a clean white ash. All his cigars burn great. The Maduros that he makes are aged meaning he doesn't ferment them so they aren't black like a CAO Maduro, a Partagas Black or even an Onyx. Therefore his cigars don't have that pungent flavor because no sugar is used in aging his wrappers so the color is more veiny and brown. Again, his cigars are strong, full bodied chewy. Good luck.

IMO PI's are a "middle of the road" smoke. Certainly they are much better than some of the less expensive cigars I've smoked but they don't do a lot for me in terms of complexity. The biggest advantage is their consistency. When I light a PI, I pretty much know exactly what I'm going to get from cigar to cigar to cigar.

In retrospect there's a lot to be said for that............
