i gotta say, the fudgie here went above and beyond on our trade. he needed lighters; i've got lighters out the wazoo that i cannot use. i've got some nerve damage in my hands, and as the new torch/jet lighters' "childproof" feature is that you have to use some strength to push down on the ignition button, that means they are also tony-proof as well. ๐
zed and i were newbies together on the same board (hosted by a certain fave cigar of mine, toraรฑo, and which i highly recommend -- they don't sell anything there, btw; just a good brotherhood), and he saw my bitching-about-the-lighters post there and emailed me to trade. he also introduced me to cbid, so thank you for that, too!
we work up a deal. i get stuck at home for a week, so he's suffering in the cold trying to light his 'gars with not much more effective a lighter than two sticks rubbed together. but i appreciate his patience very much. last time i left the house for any real "outside of the house" time was on christmas. finally, i get to the PO on saturday and get his stuff mailed -- a couple of sticks (i was low, but i'll make that up to you, bro!), a half dozen lighters (4 torch, 2 flame) that should kick butt in that cold air up there, and 3 compilation cd's.
well, i get back from taking his package to the PO, and lo and behold a package from him is waiting for me upon my return. okay, not ONLY did he include the stuff in the original trade (some non-musical cd's, shall we say), but he also tossed in a healthy handful of sticks -- all new to me -- that i can't wait to try as well as 3 flavored sticks, which i've also been wanting to try. only flavored stuff i've had was swisher *gag* and a juicy lucy from drew estates' naturals line. i wasn't impressed even with that high-money juicy lucy. i had one of the little flavored dealios last night, and it was GRRRRRRRREAT! just perfect for a "something different" kind of smoke.
i want to build a tupperdor, but getting florist foam is difficult. they sell it at wally world, but let me tell you -- being disabled (walk with a cane and slowwwwly), getting in, around and out of that place sounds like as much fun as jamming knitting needles into my eyes. so fudge here generously sent along a healthy chunk of that in the package as well. saved me a trip out to the evil empire store, and also saved me probably 2 days of recooperation time as well!
in short, fudge is da man. he's a good guy, a generous trader, and a true and valid BOTL. i look forward to more trading/swapping with him, and i highly recommend giving this brother a shot for any cbidder trades.
thanks much, man!
