I see these on C-Bid all the time. Anybody out there obtained any? I'm just wondering if I should invest some money in these babies. I can't find refences for them in any of the big publications and I don't have my Perlmans on me. Can anyone out there advise me?

I received one of these from the very generous johnfs. I rather enjoyed it. Some have complained of loose fill, but mine was just fine. The draw was nicely middle of the road, and it burned pretty slow (took longer than your average Hoyo rothschilds). The flavor was kind of salty/savory, very nice and satisfying. As for that Havana 'twang', I think there was a little bit (but then I do have a vivid imagination). As to the price they tend to go for, mmm, no. At ten or twelve per five pack, I'd buy them regularly. At fifteen, I might get a few for variety. At twenty and up, I'll just remember my rather pleasant single experience.

That was for a Pinar 'B' robusto. Who knows on the other blends.

I tried them once got no draw at all. They sent me a new 5 pack. it was just ok. I do not think they should have the word cuban at all. but some like them so you know to eeach his/her own. Rob

Not really a good smoke. I think they're playing the "Cuban" game with those of us who can't legally purchase Cuban cigars. The actual smoke is NOT worth the hype, or the cost, IMHO.

Thanks all, I think I'll invest my money on something more desirable like some CAOs or some such delight!

There was once a gigar shop that carried these Pinar Pre-Cuban cigars. They were $20 a stick and they were GREAT! They were more of a Torpedo shape about the same size a Monte # 2. It was my favorite cigar for the longest time.

The ones they sell here are a little different. They are more spicy and quite full-bodied. I have purchased quite a few here on c-bid and plan to let them age at LEAST 1 year befor smoking them. I honestly beleive they were rolled recently which is why we are all geting inconsistant feedback about them.

Once they are well aged, and consistantly humidified in a good environemet then I think you will be pleasently suprised.

Hope this helps.
