I am so upset I can hardly type...

I committed the BIGGEST sin...

I let my box get dry...bone dry...

AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Every single one of my sticks is dry. Do I keep kicking myself in the ass and have a massive bonfire?

Or do I try to recover what I can over the next few weeks and months????

AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess I'd better start bidding...

BTW...I contacted about 100 of us herfer's regarding the '**** you and your cigars too' Bill...

You can save the sticks, put them in the box with proper humidity level for a few months and fuhgedabut em!

That is unless they were so dry they started cracking and looking really ugly!

I think Marla's box would look great wet or dry.
The fact that it is now dry shows it has not been used in a while which is good. I suggest proper amounts of KY...uhhhh I mean PG w/water...yyyyyeah that's what I meant to say.

Anyway, if you need help getting the moisture back so your box is in pristine condition you know how to contact me:-)~

Sorry to hear about your box Marla, that's a shame. My recommendation is to give your box a lot of attention right now. I'm sure with enough TLC you'll notice things will improve in a hurry. 😉

Glad youre feelin' better, welcome back.

sorry to hear about the box problem; that really bites. 😛 what i've heard is that you should SLOWLY bring them up to 70%. start out around 62-65% and keep it there for a few days-one week. then 65-67%, 68-70%, one week at each level.

supposedly doing it slowly like that lessens the chance of cracking the wrappers; if the cigars take on moisture too quickly, even the minimal expansion can cause wrappers and binders to crack and split.

good luck, amica!

Marla,
Sending out a few sticks, in the morning, to help tide you over. They are in a humipak, so should be good to go when you recieve them. These guys are right. Be slow in raising the humidity, or the smokes will crack. Shame on Mike for not keeping a better eye, on your box, while you were down.

Marla,
Sorry about your little indescretion, but you sure make for great topic material!!
I've never been able to go slow when re-wetting a box myself.

They say foreplay is good..........

Seriously, I'm willing to supply a few well aged Habanos until yours are rehabed.
