I was gifted a few of these and found them to be very tasty. I think they are one of only 2 cigars that have a Dominican grown wrapper (Opus X being the other) and although not as strong as the Opus, the flavor profile was actually similar. Anyone else have any experience with these sticks????

Yes, I remember ordering a sampler a few years back.
And, these were quality sticks as far as construction,
etc., and they had somewhat of a uniqe taste. Very nice as I recall. They had some others called the 2000 or whatever that tasted strange.

Interesting that you found it similar to OpusX.

http://www.geocities.com/freddycigar/cignews.htm  ) mentiones the similarities as well and credits it to Dominican grown rosado wrapper.

did you have a chance to try Partagas Spanish Rosado cigs?

Tried the Breton corojo vintage a little over a year ago and found it mile, bland and one-dimensional. They may be growing similar tobacco but definitely not similar quality as the Opus. Maybe this crop is different.

I think I have one of the Partagas Rosados resting that I bought a couple of weeks ago. Also want to stress that I'm not suggesting this Breton is of the same quality of the Opus, but that I personally found it to share some of the same flavor profile, only milder. Also it took about 15 minutes for the flavor to start kickin and then it was a smoke to the nub cigar. The burn was perfect as well.
