... a WHOLE BOX of the elusive 'only 1000 boxes' produced of the Carlos Torano 'Tribute' ...

WOO-WOO !!!

Sorry for the 'shout' ... but I'm just beside myself, because I just didn't think that it was going to happen!

I'm not usually very lucky ... LOL!

A fellow member of these forums asked me if I wanted to do a 'box-split' with him, and could I set it up. He supplied the tobacconist ... and I took it from there.

I wonder what 'number' it will be, that is engraved on the brass plate on the front of the box ...

I'm jazzed ...

Slim if you have that addy can I please check it out. I have seen but not sure the pocket bookis ready for them yet.

gorob... sent ya an e-mail. Got a lead on some...

Rob, I've been asked not to give out this particular tobacconists name to the general public ... for various reasons.

I'll email you with an explanation ...

I smoked a Torano once

Slim no explanation needed that was good enough for me. But tell me what woud you compare them to ?I have a couple of leads on boxes, although I think I probably should back off the old credit card, the "4 little people" said they would like to eat something besides Mac and Cheese again. 🙂 Rob

WOO-HOO!!! Good to go Slim! Couldn't go to a more deserving soul! You are the man!

Now that I've buttered you up, get to the trades board! 🙂

P.S. They sure are pretty. The box is near humidor quality with inlaid wood and a felt bottom. (Go ahead, E-Chick);o)

Just got a box today as well. Robustos #52. Box is awesome! Can't wait to tear into them!

gorob et al: i wrote a review of this recently (the trib robusto) and just topped it if you want to check it out.

i've only had one, and god only knows when i'll have a chance at another, but BOY HOWDY this is a GREAT cigar.

read more comments on the review thread for more opinions on the tribute.

WTG, SLIM! i'm sure you'll enjoy these thoroughly!

CRAP!!! There goes the "4 little people" food supply !

Way to go Slim I have a box of the robsutos one hell of a smoke. World Class cigar.

I smoked one that was sent to me by one of the true BOTL here on these forums ... and couldn't believe what I was smoking.

... as I could swear that it had Cuban tobacco in it.

One of the best cigars I've smoked in a long time ...

The Carlos Toraño Tribute, is the first in the Toraño family’s releases of limited edition cigars, with a release quantity of only 66,000 cigars.

This limited edition cigar was created as a tribute to Carlos Toraño.

There were just 1,000 boxes of each size produced, and each box of 22 cigars is individually numbered.

Created with a Nicaraguan binder, Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, beautiful Connecticut seed, and an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper unlike any you have ever seen.

Take a deep smell when you open the box and tell me it doesn't have that Habanos smell. Also if you note, they're packaged like Habanos with that cedar sheet on top of the cigars. X

Andy, I did note that Cuban smell, but I also noted whst I think may be a bit of ammonia after I took the plastic wrapper off the box. Think mine my be in a sick period? Thought I better age them a while.

Slim, if you see this can you shoot me an e-mail?
