If anyone is interested in getting another birthday club [or is that clud? LOL ]up and running with a March 04 to February 05 timeframe -- just say the word! Based on the number of people interested and the agreed-upon "rules of engagement," just maybe we can belatedly celebrate this new year in style!!!

Hey everybody. Looks like we got a good group. Kayakabound has some experience at this and has volunteered time and know how, he is out for several days with the flu, I also got an e-mail from dave97402 offering assistance (thanks). Both Kayak and Dave appear to have a spreadsheet capable of keeping track of everything. I guess the deal now is to come up with ground rules etc. We can do that here or you guys can e-mail me at [email protected] and we can talk there. Please forgive any faux paux on my end as I'm a b-day club virgin. So based on what I'm hearing we need to either come up with a dollar limit or a cigar limit. After that I don't know what we're supposed to do. Suggestions welcome. Look forward to talking to you guys!

As long as people are willing to take a month besides their actual birth month it shouldn't matter. We just need twelve people to sign up then we can start hammering out who gets what month.

No experience here -- or spread sheet -- or experience wtih a birthday clb -- but willing to learn and crank out a spread, if necessary [which shouldn't be too hard]. Another question for the rules of engagement, is how many people aprox?

Suggested rules of engagement [just my .02 cents]:

-- Three-gar limit with an approx value of $20
-- No more than 12-15 members in club
-- Every member sends out a gift to the birthday boy/girl
-- You can have more than one member per month, but no more than two or three [could be tough for those on a week-to-week budget]
-- Each member submits to essthree a 10-gar wish list, which winds up in spread sheet along with names, addresses, birth dates

kb..I sent spreadsheet to ess..... I think it best to keep it to 1 per month, with maybe a extra thrown somewhere. 2 or more for some maybe a little stretching. LOL...you say 3 limit...you know these guys can't count! LOL but yeah....sounds good to figure a $20 package....though if they can't count they probably can't add! LOL

Feel free to email Clive and he will answer any questions you may have - on how he is doing his anyway 🙂 I gave you his email I think LOL He won't be home till after 3 but he'll be more than happy to help out. I think he ended up with 13 on his - doubled up on one month - but doubling up too much can over tax some people (nods vehemently) LOL so doubling up once like Clive did is ok, but anymore than that could be a bad thing. I know there will still be more out there that will want to be in a bday club and once we are filled up the best answer is just to start another one - am sure there is enough for another one out there 🙂 I do know a few things that Clive does - he definitely has a spreadsheet - but he's had help with that. Gives names (real and handles on here) addresses (email and snailer) the persons bday of course 🙂 and what Clive describes as a "wish list" of some of everyone's favorite gars. I think he has a limit of 20 bucks, but that detail I'm not that sure on. don't know if everyone pays attention to that figure, but that is just a limit for those that might not be able to spend a lot yanno. Like I said in my email we would be willing to help out with whatever we can 🙂 help is just a hollar and an email away!

Liz....yeah the spreadsheet I sent him is a blanked out version of the one he used for that. So if it ever comes up again....I now have it saved as a template to use. I think fudge did that? not sure but it is put together awesome!
