I have a $50 gift certificate to burn at Cigars International. If it were yours what would you buy?
thanx

I am assuming you are new to cigars? Look in the samplers section, and pick up some mild to medium samplers.

Two 5packs of Padron 3000 maddies. or make it two 5 packs of Padron 5000 maddies and pay the little extra.

I'm not new to cigars, just fishing for ideas..I did smoke a Padron 3000 (from cigarbid) the other day and enjoyed that alot.

That's hard to say. I'd probably add $20 or so and then fish around for something that's well reviewed and that I haven't tried....

I would go with (in no particular order):

1) Bobblehead Cigar Store Indian
2) CI Smiley Bobblehead
3) 5-pack of Torano Signature Toros
4) 5-pack of Padron X000's Maduro
5) Box of Cupido Criollos (dang they are out of the Commemorative)

You get the idea...really depends on your likes as far as flavor profile..

Add another $125 of your own money ...

... and get a box of the Carlos Torano 'Tribute' Robusto from CI ...

It will be the best $125 you have ever spent on cigars from CI ... and one that I KNOW will not disappoint you!

Ditto what Slim said!!

You'd be getting a box of the Tribute for the best price anywhere! And I'd believe you'd really like these smokes.

I picked up a Trib Saturday, and am letting it rest a bit before I offer burnt offerings! 🙂

Let's see some good stuff here:
Bobbleheads! Hope I have enuff moolah..
Toranos: just got some 5 packs this xmas and I'm giving it some time. Tried the signature, and I have the exodus and 1916 on hold.
Got a sampler with a Gurkha , CAO, and Puros Indios, in it. Tried the Bohemian Red in it...did'nt like that at all.
Thing is I bought a bunch at Christmas but my birthday rolled around and I just got this gift certificate! Rough deal!
I am enjoying the Savanellis and the Padron 3000s and Delicias. I am stashing a box of Londres for later.
The Cupidos in Criollo and Toro Negro sounds interesting...
Thanks for all the input

gerryko --- you do not have the 'Tribute' ...

... this is a 'one of a kind' cigar ... 😉 ... and doesn't even compare to the rest of the Carlos Torano lines!

The Tribute might be a little pricey for me. I'm leaning toward the Cupido Toro Negro.

thanks for replying

gerryko --- a box of the Cupido Toro Negro usually sells for around $100 ... although I've seen them at $70 ...

... and pricy or not, the 'Tributes' are one of those 'rare' limited production cigars that are not going to be around for very long ...

... just my 2¢

How do the Toro Negros compare to Padron 3000s?
cayman2b

gerryko- if you like the padron maddies you'll
love the Toro Negros.. nice, deep, complex smoke
IMO.. only thing "bad" I can say about them is
the wrapper construction is somewhat inconsistant
but they burn great.. Boxes I've had were rolled
in '99 and the Torcedor, Maestro, etc that produced
them are hand written on the inside lid.. attractive
box too. Go for it you wont be disapointed..

Give us your review if you decide to purchase.
