It's been a while since I've traded on here. I don't smoke much these days and I don't plan on smoking these anytime soon. They are much better off in the hands of someone who will use them. They are Dominican, sometimes called "yellow band", NOT red dot or isom. Email me with any trade offers and we'll work it out from there. I would prefer a couple premiums in return for these 10.

Sorry to burst your bubble...

They are also counterfit and illegial for sale in the US. They are some of the worst Dog Rockets I have ever tried. If you are interested in this topic try google. Cigar Aficianado's website recently covered this type of cigar in their counterfit section.

Basically what happened is after the Embargo, part of Cohiba remained on the ISOM, and another portion of the company branched off to the DR. The DR company has really nothing to do with the ISOM company any more. What happened then was the DR company split into 2, one made by General Cigar Co., and the other by some company which slips my mind. The General Cigar manufactures the Red Dot, which are the only approved cigar for sale in the US. The Yellow band DR's, which there are several types of, are legal in other countries (as the international patents havent been dealt with), just not in the US.

Hope this helps,

The Polish Tony

We sell them at the cigar shop for .99 or $19.99 for a bundle of 25.

Hey Morpheus5885 take it easy on the guy...
"They are some of the worst Dog Rockets I have ever tried."

No need to stomp all over the man's trade.

Your comments may be better served in a private note to him, or better yet, KEPT TO YOURSELF.

If I was him, I'd be lookin' for some future payback. Good luck.

IMHO

Done deal with Sonny_LSU. Thanks man, appreciate it.
I would also like to thank Polish Tony for his concerns, but I was already aware of all that stuff. I was hoping Sonny or the cigar club would want to jump on this dog rocket deal. Looks like I got lucky.

Didn't see chuckler's post until just now. I'm starting to laugh my a$$ off at this whole situation. NO offense taken from morpheus, don't worry. I do appreciate everyone's concerns. It's all cool though guys. Let's all just live, love, and smoke our beloved legal leaf in peace.

just FYI, they are not necessarily counterfeits. there's a big ol' thread explaining how yellow bands can be here legally if anyone wants to do a search.

PT- I'm not allowed to give my opinion on a cigar? That would greatly lower the value I get out of reading this forum if that right is taken away from all of us. I just stated my opinion. I dont think my opinion of a cigar would EVER offend anyone personally. What kind of cigars someone may or may not like is simply a matter of opinion, and no reflection on that person (in general).

Belistri- They would only be legal, from what I've learned, if they were imported to the US before the court ruling which was sometime in the 70's I believe.

I did not mean to sound harsh but I myself bought some of these when I first started smoking, thinking they were the real deal. They were about 8 bucks a stick at the time. After trying the red dots and the ISOM cohibas, I realized how bad they were in comparison...that's why I did my research.

Best Regards,

The Polish Tony

yeah, i think it takes a lot of cojones for a cigar dealer today to charge more than $2 *MAX* for a yellow band. sorry that you got shafted then, polish tony; that always bites. but believe it or not, there are some folks who actually like the yellow bands.

i picked up a churchill from the local head shop's humidor for a buck. just curious to see if they were as nasty as i'd heard. well... not quite unsmokeable, but i can definitely find a better cigar for a buck (like the quorum puros out of nicaragua -- whoa nelly!).

...these little beauties are for my beloved moochers, so I don't care......and, being completely cigar ignorant, they think they are getting quality.

Now, what's got all you slap dicks so interested in this thread?
