The Edge... There is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over. The others --- the living --- are those who pushed their control as far as they felt they could handle it, and then pulled back, or slowed down, or did whatever they had to when it came time to choose between Now and Later.

But the edge is still Out there. Or maybe it's In. The association of motorcyles with LSD is no accident of publicity. They are both a means to an end, to the place of definitions.

I had a pet Rary and took him to the edge to throw him off, he looked over the edge and saw how deep it was and turned to me and said: " It's a long way to TipaRary ". JonR

I don't know about you, but I take a great deal of comfort in the knowledge that he's still out there somewhere tilting at windmills, getting loaded, raising peacocks and doberman pinschers, and firing high-powered armaments into the night sky.

Someone's got to keep the bastards on their toes!

I was always able to relate and understand most of what he was trying to get at.

He was a real ground breaker, a Christopher Columbus of journalism and writing.

But he did act like a jerk alot, but that’s ok. Im a jerk too.

I recall a time as a small child, going to this farm to pick out a dog, there in the corner was the strangest dog I had ever seen, different from all the others, it even had a very weird personality all to himself, I said I’LL TAKE THAT ONE!

You said ---- I don't know about you, but I take a great deal of comfort in the knowledge that he's still out there somewhere tilting at windmills, getting loaded, raising peacocks and doberman pinschers, and firing high-powered armaments into the night sky. ---- Not knowing what your point is I remember a rancher from Amarillo, TX that fit the description.

There was another strange rancher there that burried Cadillacs nose first in the ground beside I-40. Has anyone ever seen the Cadillac Ranch??

I think I better tell my readers right now that im no longer responsible for anything I write from this point on, I been without sleep for 80 hours and showing signs of simple fatigue, the hallucinations have stopped finally thank god. But my adrenalin reserves are burning out and im steering straight into the face of a total freak out.
