Has anyone actually smoked one of these. I never have, kinda turned off by the color. BUT, I do wonder what they taste like... I have some laying around in the humi's, just can't get over the color of them!?!?

LMK.

PT 🙂

Different IS the right word.
I gave most of them up in a trade.
They are cheap on C-Bid.
I hope you like them
but I'll pass.

hey, chuckler -- if you have 'em sitting around, the best way to find out is to grab ya'self, hold on and SMOKE one up! 🙂

think of it as living dangerously for a day. 😉

p.s. let us know the verdict?

PT,

Just don't smoke them in front of anyone. I smoked a couple and one left me with red lips.

I love A. Fuente large ring maddys, and such and yes I have smoked these and ok I admit I kinda like them 🙂 I'm sorry I do, good for the yard or in the sand. Easy for the Volleyball boys to enjoy. Chuckler send me your addy we can get you a sample 🙂

I've only smoked one of these before, but have a few sitting in the bottom of the humi. I smoked it on a hot day while on a boat. Big mistake. My hands were a little sweaty and it tinted my fingers red. It looked like I had been eating pistachios.

Other than that, the cigar was OK. I never judge a cigar until after I've tried it more than once.

I am willing to bet... that almost every single person on this board has one at the bottom of their humi, from a trade or purchase long ago... BUT, no one smokes them!?!?!? Strange.

HarleyDave, Long time no see my friend!
I do hope we can get together for a herf soon!

I will smoke one of these sticks this weekened and leave a review Sunday night... Lets put this mystery to bed, shall we!!!

Cheers,
PT 😉

gorob23,

Sorry... many thanks for the offer, I still do have one or two laying around at the bottom of my humi... Strange huh???

PT 😉

Please, somebody outbid me!! 🙂

PT...

I sent you one so I'll let you know what I think of it. It is a medium to semi-full bodied cigar. The rosado wrapper (for me) did'nt really play into the taste. I had the cigar a few months ago so I don't remember it all that well, but from what I do remember the smoke actually had a hint of red in it! It had a creamy/rich smooth taste. IMHO the cigar is well worth what it sells for.

I've had one....I liked it, but wasn't something that is at the top of my smoking list, but it wasn't a "dog rocket" either. Smoke the ones that are in your humi or if someone gives you a couple, but I don't think they are anything that I would buy. I have a couple more in my sweatador that I plan on smoking, but beyond that, unless I am given more, I wouldn't pay for them.

Let them age for about 6 months and then they are no bad at all.

For me, they kinda fall into the catagory of Te Amo.......with proper aging, I like one every once in a long while. They do have a unique taste (as a BOTL on this board explained, the wrapper is soaked or infused with Sangria wine) and this is the reddish color that can rub off on anything.

In essence, they are not a "go-to" cigar for me, but I occasionally get a hankering for one.......Just my thoughts...........

P.S. And yes.......I do have a total of 10 or 15 of these in the bottoms of various humidors........

Chuckler,

I'll admit to smoking these and liking them, too. As a matter of fact, I'm the reason billreif doesn't have any more.

If you want to trade your La Estrella cigars for something else, email me

00camper,
Thanks for the offer! I think I only have two or three laying around, got one in a recent trade with Morpheus5885, and they seem to always turn up in the bottom of one of my humis...

Anyway, I am going to try on this weekend, in a quiet moment, and if they are not to my liking, I will drop what I got in a box to ya.

Cheers all,

PT 🙂

I smoked a couple of the diplomaticos and enjoyed them very much. I love the color of the wrapper, it is truly unique.
Chuckler, I look forward to reading your review.

Smoked one this afternoon. Built a little fire in the back yard "fire ring" and relaxed. All in all a good day.
