I am curious just how good they really are. I have never had one and their reviews have got me interested.

I've smoked a few. The Vintage 2000 lonsdale was one of the best smoke I've had. The only turn-off is the price.

In the order of my enjoyment.

1) ME -- full-bodied
2) Grand Cru -- medium-full
3) Special R -- mild-medium
4) 2000 -- mild
5) No. 2 -- mild

Since I've not had any of the Vintage 2000, so my opinion is based on the 5 lines I've smoked. IMHO, the only line that is worth trying is the ME. If you want to spend money on cigars, there are tons of mild-bodied cigars out there to try, and costs less than the Davidoff.

Davidoff is very good stuff. My personal fav was the special 53. The millenium blends and the Special R are both outstanding and easily worth the cash. Not sure about the others though.

I am getting mixed thoughts, are there any any cigars comparable to Davidoff for less money.

Best cigars i have ever smoked are davidoffs, it just doesnt get any better than a mel blend church or a short 'T'.

If you like the Davidoff line, but aren't willing to part with some serious cash, try Private Stock. It's Davidoff's "seconds". They're mighty tasty and extremely resonable. My local shop carries them and they are available at several online sources.

I wouldnt go as far as saying Private Stock are davidoffs seconds. Think of them as more like the yellow band cohiba to the reddot and becareful some private stocks arent long filler.

The only Davidoffs I ever smoked were the Milleniums. Wonderful cigar. My impression...the 2 milleniums I had were non-ISOMs very close to a real Cuban flavor profile. Just loved them. Price is the only negative.
