Well, peeps, yesterday I had a hellish day at work. Deadlines, deadlines and more deadlines that were imposible to be met. My boss had a bad day and was taling it out on who ever was arround. I had no time for lunch and breakfast wasn't all that great. Got home and my 2 year old was ruling the house, reaking havok where ever she stompped on!!
I was tired and wanted to relax, I had recently aquired some primo smokes thanx to the AWESOME Box Pass that bassdude(Tony) put. It was hard to decide what smoke to have. Finally after much thought I decided to try the elusive Siglo VI. I've heard so much about these that I wanted to try one. Once I realized that I was able to get my hands on one I swooped on it.
The cigar was very nice looking, a very nice wrapper, smooth and not very veiny at all, beautifull. I am very partial to band, and this band really attracted me to this cigar, they sport the new band and it just makes this cigar look expensive(and it is!!) I have to admit I had high expectations for this cigar. I put the stick in my mouth even before clipping it, it tasted very good, had a bit of a bite, not a bad one, just tastee tobbacco. I clipped it with my XiKar, a flawless cut.
The aroma the cigar gave was new to me, almost cedary, very good woody smell and some other smellss I just couldn't quite put my finger on it. The foot toasted excellent and without a flaw, the dark ring began to build to a nice grey ash.
The first 1/4 of the cigar was slow, I wanted to enjoy this one, it was subtle and not very powerful as I thought, it tasted a little young, not bad but it can use sme sleep. after the fist 1/4 the flavors began to pick up, the flavor strength picked up too. I was very happy at this point, I am not a very talented taster at all, and my pallete is not refined to all the flavors some experience. I can tase/smell wood, and earth, I felt like humidity? is that wierd? I felt wierd, as the smoke progressed so was the complexity of the cigar. It was a very easy smoke, it smoked itself, tons of smoke and a very firm ash. I had a strong cup of coffe, complements of Sonny_LSU, and it was perfectly paired with this cigar. The stoggie was super complex and very tastee, thanx EThan!!!!
I have to say this cigar was one of the best cigars I've had IMHO, I NEED MORE!!!!
