Just wondering – At last count I have 232 cigars. More them some - less then most. What I was wondering about is how many different brands do you all have. Within the 232 smokes I have there are 29 different brands. I was just curious as to how this compares to some of you regulars.

On another note – just had my first Carbonell Presidente. I won a 5 pack, let them sleep for about a month before trying the first. Now I know these things are supposed to be naturally sweet, but ……aaarrrrghhh. The thing was like sucking on sugar. I thought OK, well the sweetness will tone down as I smoke it. I was wrong! The burn, aroma, draw, construction all were perfect – but that sweetness was just too powerful. My question is do you think that sweetness will subside as they rest or is that sweetness here to stay?

Thanks for the input.

I have about 50 different brands (about).
The reason I'm replying to this thread is
I seem to be smoking the same 4 or 5
brands with a different one thrown in
once and awhile.
Right now I'm kinda hooked on Padron,Torano,
Oliva and Onyx Reserve.
Maybe I should just stick with these.

I have 96 cigars right now, 41 different. How do I know? I am the doctor of numbers, it's my job to know these things 😉

32 brands and exactly 322 cigars

I keep track of my inventory and every other fact about my cigars on an Excel spreadsheet...I like to call it my cigar database and I have 16 columns/categories on the spreadsheet and I have a great time making pivot tables with the data..sorry for babbling

Probably about 950 -1000 total count and maybe 30 brands. Would be more brands if I counted different sizes of the same brand. By the end of this year I think the total will probably be the same but the brand diversity will be reduced by at least a third by design.

Too scared to count. I find something good, I start hoarding; I always have been a collector. I still have my Wacky Packages from 1972.
The only good news is that I DO smoke them to.

I'm with tellyman. 2 humidors, 4 sweaterdors and a cooler - predominately AFs, CAO, LPH, Toranos and a good quantity from some little island.

Ditto MrT to scared to count. Two humidors two coolidors. I'm becoming a box man now so I'm also with turnberry I'm going to start weeding out my singles and will probably only end up with about 8 to 10 different brands/makes for non Island stuff and about the same for ISOMs

Approximately 5500 cigars. I would guesstimate at least 200+ brands. However, bear in mind that I have brands I haven't smoked in years. Tastes change but you don't want to throw out perfectly good cigars, even if YOU won't ever smoke them. Going to get over to the trades board in earnest before too long.

Problem is, I figure if I don't like them any longer/don't want to smoke them, they are not worth trying to "unload" on other folks.

That thinking is not logical and I realize that, but emotionally that is kinda what I'm convinced of. Gotta change my way of thinking...............

All right, now I don't feel like nut case (My wife has a different opinion). I was thinking just the other day that I was getting too low on my stock (Aprox. 2000 about 50 brands) then I came to my senses and realized that if everyone ceased to produce cigars I would have several years before I had to worry about smoking my last one. Arwings, I showed your post to my wife and said; see I'm not so bad, to which she replied (In pure Sonny LSU fashion); FREAK. I do feel better about my condition now.

Thanks Arwings
