That a smoke like a perdomo 2 can seem plugged and give up little smoke no matter how hard I draw on it and canoe on me. Yet a smoke like a leon Jimenes, I think that's what it is called, can give up such a large amount of creamy white smoke, draw really well and just make ya want to smoke it to the nub. The thing burned even all the way and the ash almost wouldn't come off. I thought I would end up with a robusto size ash.
Any comments?

pop: yes, sir -- i've learned this the hard way: PNHT.

Perdomos Need Humi Time.

i've tried 3 kinds, including the P2, and each one was hard to smoke until they got some serious humi time, and preferably at around 65% humidity. after i let the final 2 rest at a lower humidity, they smoked like a dream!

don't know what to say about LJ, though, except this might possibly be my favorite cigar ever. the two i've had have been amazing -- fit my taste profile to a T. truly a great cigar!

Perdomo makes inconsistent cigars. It needs a good QC person IMO.

Cavallo --- more like, 'Perdomo's need to dry-box awhile ...

... their cigars always seem to be to damp.

I've just never been impressed with Perdomo. Personal taste for sure, but I've just never cared for them.

I smoke a lot of Perdomos. I have only had trouble with the P2 maddie. After some dry out time they smoke just fine. Try the P2 cammie or the LTCS mad or rosado.

Never had problems with perdomos, love both the squared maduros and the reserve maduros. I keep my humis at 65 so that might be why i dont have problems.

the first one i had was a perdomo fresco torp that was in a sampler my wife got me for the holidaze. it was the last one of the five that i smoked, and it was practically UNsmokeable. i loved the taste, what i got out of it, but it tunneled and canoed and basically fell apart at the end. i'd like to try another one now, knowing about giving them humi time (i keep my smoking humi at 65% too) and see if it's any better. the taste was sure enough great; i just hope the next one can actually make it more than 3-4 minutes before having to be tossed. :/

I've had fewer problems with the LTCS - them's some good gars, but in general I give all my perdomos dry box time. Went to the CT promo on Friday (with RDC and GT of Murphy and I was reminded of the perfect draw that every single CT that I've ever smoked has had. I thought I heard they test the draw somehow - any one know about this?

Perdomo says they test the draw too - check their site.

LJ maddie is an outstanding value cigar - one of my favorites.

Because of their inconsistency, P2's are mediocre at best.

I live about 30 minutes from Perdomos central site in Miami. A friend and I ventured down and I purchased some Perdomo "The Cigar" and their "Counterfeit Cubans". I must be honest, both cigars were like trying to suck a lemon through a straw. After reading the above posts, I will try and let them humi for a bit and if that doesn't work, I will try drying them out. I'd hate to waste another trying to smoke em as they are just about imposible.

I just got a couple 5 packs of Perdomos, one of which is the P2. I use a sweaterdor that stays right at 70%, is there a way i can store the P2's at a lower humidity inside of that? Like put them inside something else that will help deflect a little bit of humidity?

absolute -- do you have an empty cigar box? i've smoked the 3 perdomos (since the first one) after getting them dry and haven't had any trouble. for a couple that meant some longer sleep time in my 65% humi (2 months, just tried one and it's fine) -or- by dry boxing it (put it in an unvarnished cigar box) for about a week, cello on but open. that, too, helped with the draw.

is the fresco torp made any more? i really want to try this one again -- the taste was right on -- but i'd hate to pay $30 for another sampler to get the darned thing. although it did come with a suarez, and i can't find THAT one anywhere either.

if anyone has a perdomo fresco or a suarex natural and wanna trade, shoot me an email: BBELTRISI at ec.rr.com
