First of all, THANK YOU, D.J for letting me look at your cigars. Ropeman wants em' back, so they will be sent back tommorow....but if someone held both packages up and told me to choose....I'd take mine in a heartbeat. There isn't one cigar that he sent, that I couldn't find in about an hour.

This turned ugly, and it sucked! I thought the trash-talk was all in good fun, and didn't think I would get thrown under the bus.

despite my earlier head shake( in jest I might add), you put together a very nice pkg of smokes.

My opinion for what it's worth it's just about even. I have a bunch of Oneoffs and they are very good cigars imo but no more immpossible to get than a Padron Millenium. Even steven!

Now that I see what Rope sent I ain't that impressed either. I see 3 on this list I don't have.

All in all I think this was actually a pretty fair trade in value. In personal preference I'd take the smell bomb(I'm partial to AFs)

That one off sure does intrigue me though.

i'm far from being any kind of expert on cigars, but either of these would have made me bow down with an "i'm not worthy!" kudos.

i enjoyed the smack talking -- it's the kind of thing that's ONLY fun when it's done among brothers standing on the understanding of mutual respect.

i'm sorry to see that this went sour and turned from good-natured razzing to flat-out insults. IF this is ever done again, i hope the good spirit won't be lost as it seems to have been here. 😞

I actually had 2 that were in the Ropeman package (Anejo 50 and the Zino). So, I'm starting to feel a little better about my cigar collection. LMAO.

I do have access to the Ditka cigars, but would not touch those with a 10-foot pole for what the cigar store is charging for them. ...and I'm a huge Bears fan too. DAAAAAAAAAA BEARS!!!!!

just read DJ's post. as a very nosy 3rd party who doesn't have all the facts - I'd say you both sent VERY comparable packages (I just put them in a table, arranged it so that each had a comparable match, IMNSHO) - doesn't seem like DJ was trying to back out of the trade -so lets not go overboard. If I were ropeman I wouldn't have reacted the way he did as he recieved a package comparable to his. Dave, try to not get your panties in a wad - just feel good for sending out an impressive package and holding your own. if ropeman doesn't necessarily want his back - I think yall should just keep them and be happy with a well fought bombing contest

I agree they were both wonderful packages, and matched up pretty well. I do think that people are correct that based on the hype we expected a bunch of Unicorn sticks that never materialized.

Here is my official (non-bias) analysis of the packages if I were to get them. Both had two sticks I've never had. Both had one stick I don't like and would never smoke. Both would make me happy to recieve.

But if I had to choose I'd take the smelly bomb because as bassdude said I'm partial to fuente.
