I was looking through, my cooler this morning. I am organising my cigars, and putting all the cigars, for my boxpass, in their own Humi. I got down to my Bucaneros. I opened, a box, of some Classico Mad. Robustos, and the light hit it just right, to be reflected, showing me the cigars, to be covered with a crystaline substance. I looks like diamond dust, all over the cigars. This was my first box of Bucs, I bought last May, here at cbid. I have tried 4 out of the box, so now I have 16 left, of those yummy Maduros. Ooops 15. LOL
I just had to share this special moment, with my brothers, here on the forums. Now it's off to work, before I'm late.
Have a great day.

nice, I picked up some CAO extremes in a local shop that were covered with plume. Have not smoked one yet.

Nice, Dave!! Buc classico and full sail and a partagas #10 maduro are the only sticks I've had plume (usually can't wait long enough...)

The only sticks i have ever seen plumed are the La Aurora Platinum Tubos i won here...

And they arrived that way...

Dave; yes Buc classic maddies ploom better than any I've seen next to PAMs and in a shorter amount of time. I have some churchills and robustos too that are over 8 months and they look like I rolled them in fine powder sugar. Very yummy indeed!

I'm sure it is a toxic substance. Forward to me for hazardous waste disposal;-)

I found some La Tradicion Perdomo Cabinet Series at my local that were plumed. These are such mild gars to start with (although tastey) that I really cant say I noticed that much difference. But it was nice knowing they had aged nicely.

Goose? Talk to me goose. What is a plume? And if it's so good, how do I get one?! 🙂

PLume is actually BLOOM.
When a cigar ages nicely, the oils will slowly evaporate leaving crystals behind.
Don't mix this up with MOLD, a highly unwanted visitor. Mold is fuzz, blurry, soft looking.

This is the first time, that Bloom, or Plume, both accepted usage, has occured on my watch. I have been gifted cigars, that had Plumed, and bought a few, that were already plumed. But never had cigars, go into the Humi., without an indication, of Plume, and come out, with Plume. From the same purchase, right next to the box with the Bucs, a box, of Padron 300 maddies, a box of CAO Maduro Tubos#1, and on the other side, a box of A.Fuentes Canone Mad., no sight of Plume. All have cello, removed. I have smoked 2 today. I plan on allowing myself, 1 a week, until they are gone. Maybe by the time they are gone, I will have another box, of plumed out smokes. LOL
