To anyone I have sent cigars to in the past month:
I have found a number of beetle holes in a few cigars.
The cigars were in their own container and I don't believe the beetles were able to escape and infest other cigars. I have checked every cigar and have found no evidence of beetles outside of this one container.

To be safe if you have received cigars from me in the past month please check your stash for signs of beetle damage.

Bassdude, that was definitely before I received the ones with the beetles. You can breath easily 🙂

Fudge - SA here - I received a Ramone Allones and a Torano Exodus from you on Feb. 2nd. They look OK, what do you think, were they in the container you are speaking of?

I honestly don't think that any of the cigars I sent out were exposed, but its not worth taking chances with other peoples collections.

I have looked at cigars before and seen small imperfections and little holes and wondered about beetles, well this time when I saw a stick with beetle holes there is no doubt. As soon as I saw a real beetle hole I knew exactly what it was. And the holes in the cello and tobacco dust confirmed it.
I have burned the offending sticks and put the others from the same container in the freezer.

And to be extra careful I will be smoking all those sticks myself and not sending any of them out in trades.

hey, fudge: ditto on the sticks you've sent me; never a problem with a single one of 'em. i just went through every cigar i have (getting them consolidated and also plucking some out for trades/pifs/bombs etc. -- every one was in fine condition.

by the way, thanks for posting this. although the risk is minimal, good on ya for sending out word "just in case."

Thanks for the heads up Zed. Went through what you sent and it looks like one has a small hole. Difficult to tell if it is a beetle or just a leaf imperfection. I have isolated it just in case and am saving it for a special birthday!
