Any of you tried these? Fortunately I was recently gifted one by my friend TR and the another by the actual manufacturer. I plan to share one with a friend but was curious to what folks thought of this limited cigar.

I tried a Bucanero once.

Oh wow ... I think I just 'channeled' BeatDragon!

They are not so limited, BTW ... it's one of Bucanero's latest lines, and they are here to stay. Unfortuantely, all the Bucanero lines can be somewhat elusive ... only because not all tobacconists are set up to carry their lines.

The Salsa is the only Bucanero I have purchased in the box, and never have smoked one. I am gonna age the crap outta the box, then give a long review of 1 yr. old Salsas, fresh outta the box.

definitely one that i hope to try someday. i can't get them locally, though. the one buc i've had (thanks smelly!) was pretty wonderful, and liking the spicy smokes, i can only imagine that i'll be ga-ga (in an arrrrrrrrrrrgh! kinda way) over this one.

Still need to try all the lines, minus clasico. Have a Z from smelly that ill light up when the weather gets better but it will have trouble topping the clasico which is one of my favorite gars.

Yeah, I just won a box of Salsa's. I'm keeping them for later. I have a box of full sails aging also... However, some of their corporate exec's are not as honest as they would have you believe... For instance, here's a snippet from a message last June, still no msg from the liar in the email. Those guys make good cigars, but they are lying ba$tards!

"Bottom line for me is that you do enjoy

the cigars so thank you for supporting Bucaneros. Thanks again for getting back to me. Send me your ship to address and perhaps I might find a hat or

something for you when they come in.

Cheers,

Barry"

P.S., I sent him my snailer... No hat or something... Not that I can’t afford to buy one, but it’s the principle of the thing! If someone says they’re going to do something, they should follow through, if they don’t they’re not worth the spit it takes to mail them a letter…

Slimboli, the hard to get comment came out of a discussion I had with the rep. from the company that actually rolls them for Bucanero. I had him do some private label cigars for the company I work for and I asked him if he could get me some. He said he no longer had any supply for this year. I am searching for some and may reward some lucky folks that have not had the opportunity.

drjothen -- I have been very good friends with Robert Spoden, President of Bucanero and owner of cigars, for several years now. They age their ALL of their tobacco for 3 to 5 years before it is rolled, so there is not an unlimited supply, but by no means is the Salsa any more limitied than any of the other lines. When they run out, they have to wait for the next years batch ...

FYI, Robert is a member of another online cigar club which I belong, that was created about three years ago, sort of an offshoot of this one ... and the Salsa was created because the members there asked him to create something with a little more 'punch' to it.

That is how the Salsa was born ...

robby: sometimes people just forget. to err is human and all that. i wouldn't take it as an affront in this case. if i didn't write things down, i would be in serious trouble with "CRS" disorder (Can't Remember, er, Crap). 🙂

even with a memo book constantly at my side, i make mistakes. i can just imagine how much more the owner of a burgeoning but very popular cigar line would be. i'd call it an oversight; the guy probably just forgot. i'd say to shoot him back and email and nudge his memory.
