Last June Barry said he would send you a Buc Hat. At the time we were out of our hats. Then due to an oversight when the hats came in we did not remember to send you a hat. So lets just take care of this right away. Please send me an email, with your mailing address etc..and I will make sure your request is taken care of...
Barry feels really bad about this and it plays hard on him that this situation occurred. If you only knew Barry ( and the rest of our guys at Bucanero) and how much we appreciates all of the men who smoke Buc's you would understand that this was simply an oversight. As a small cigar manufacture we are truly honored when someone takes the time to smoke and to enjoy a Buc. We work damn hard to make each Buc moment an enjoyable one. Without this support there would be no Bucanero!

On occasion I visit the C-Bid board and notice that you are going through some difficult times. I am sorry for you. One of my goals in life is to bring a little sunshine into as many peoples life's as I can. I lost my Mother sometime ago and it really hurts. When she passed on I will always remember her for her giving qualities. I try hard to honor her in this respect. By no means will this bad feeling you have about us will be allowed to continue.
I only hope you have better days a head . Lets start over. Along with the hat allow me to send you a box of Z's...

Slim, no one is perfect, and you're thought of very highly on these boards.

However, I don't understand Mr. Boden's "public" message. In my opinion, this was a matter best handled in private between Bucanero & Robby. Empathy & generosity are qualities best served "behind the scenes" if they are truly sincere.

I'll make no more comments.

Robby made it public, he drew first blood. To make calm the neysayers Robert needed to respond in kind.

once again, it just impresses me how folks who smoke cigars and also those in the industry can interact so easily.

can you imagine getting personal responses from the presidents -- or anyone at all! -- in other industries?
if i didn't care for the pair of $90 sneakers i got or had a complaint about something, would the president of that company bother to write me about it? *skoff* 🙂 don't think so!

so kudos to BOTL -- be they consumers or producers -- and to the love of the leaf and respect for each other.

I like ALL the Bucaneros. It seems I like them more with each one I smoke. I am very glad that the guys who run the company of one of my favorite cigars are good fellows! The Zs are great Robby! Enjoy them!
