welcome aboard, dad! with four kids, you have time to have a go-to gar, even. THAT is impressive! 🙂
i've been smoking cigars for about 7-8 months, and i'm still too new at this to have a go-to gar per se. i'm still trying a lot of (very) different stuff.
that said, if i could afford 'em, my dream go-to 'gars would be AF anything or montecristo grande tubos, ashton classics, fonsecas.
the closest go-to 'gars i have are any of the toraño cigars, which are just excellent in every way -- and though i can't afford to buy them by the box right now, i can find them locally by the stick at a very decent price.
if i could FIND 'em, my go-to would be tabacalera cubana coronas or emilio reyes torps. those are two of the very first cigars i smoked and that i TRULY enjoyed as i "got it" for the first time -- what this whole "good tasting cigar thing" was all about. 🙂
what i'm LOOKING for in a reasonable go-to 'gar is a bundled cigar, double corona in size, with a mixture of smoothness, spiciness and an ec-sum wrapper. i'm very much enjoying several very good smokes as singles, but i hate to find one that's perfect and then not know what it is, where to get them or how much they go for. :/
