These haven't been mentioned in a while. Seem to be almost universally disliked. If tonight's winners would be so kind, please report your impression when you smoke one.

These were around when I first got to cbid. I always meant to order some, but never got around to it before they disappeared. The sociopath in me just wanted to strut around smoking a big fat cigar with a dollar sign on the band. I think they are made by Felipe Gregorio, whose cigars I have come to like, but others seem to disdain. Let us know if you try one.

I got some here over three years ago ...

... and that was the LAST time.

Wasn't worth the flame it took to light one, but that's just my thoughts on it.

I bought bundles of these when they were here for Poker Night cigars. I didn't want to show up with premiums and have everyone under the sun wanting one. At an average price of 25 bucks a bundle...I took the gamble. I didn't expect the Earth,Stars or Moon.

The ones that I smoked were okay for what I used them for. I had some plugged ones as well. I stopped playing poker with the boys and put the stock that I had down for a LONG nap. Almost 3 years later...WOW. This cigar is a testament to what properly aging a cigar can be like. It was different than I remembered. Canoeing, and plugged...not anymore. The cigar aged well, but now...I haven't seen them here. Value cigar that did it's job.

I, too, can attest to the difference that resting time makes on this cigar. I bought a ten-pack ages ago, smoked a few and didn't like them. Let the rest sit, and my how they improved! They were actually quite good for a less expensive smoke. Time made all the difference.

I had a bundle a while back and remember them as being mild, nearly flavorless cigars. Reminded me of some of the cigars from the Phillipines that were "mild and nearly flavorless". I didn't keep them around to age..cool band though.

Curious to know which filipino stix were mild & flavorless

Most I've tried had a bit of a [nice] kick, but certainly weren't for everyone's taste

now, wait a minute... wait a minute... i was given some flor de filipinos to try as i'm a spice lover, and they were described as spicy little numbers.

taste in general? not much there, true. but they DO bring the spice, all right!
