MAC, you didn't do anything wrong and have nothing to be sorry about. You had no idea where the lunatics would take your thread.

Hopefully this pack of wild, mad dogs will never drag one of your threads off into the outback again, and I am sorry for my part in making you uncomfortable.

But the scrap was kind of fun. hehehe

Kaz and all my B/SOTL's, I appreciate the sentiment but there is no need to apologize to me. DMV was right in a way. I posted a thread in the wrong area. Now I know better. No harm no foul. I'm cool with all you folks in here.

GREAT SITE!

Smoke 'em if ya got 'em!

Oh for cryin out loud enough already with the "You posted this in the wrong area so you are an idiot" comments. Are you guys really losing sleep because someone posted something in the wrong thread area? What is the big deal?

No big deal plabonte ... if you don't care.

But those types are the ones who clutter up the boards with things that have nothing to do with the board was inteneded to contain.

In the begining, we didn't have as many defined forums that we do now, and it really got to be a mess ... so much, that Gonz created seperate boards to keep things a little more oarganized and easier to read.

Heck, on most of the other cigar forums that I know, the moderator will actually move threads to their proper place, if they are posted in the wrong forums ...

Basically, posting to the proper forums does make sense. It helps to keep them from becoming a 'hodge-podge', and it does make it easier for those who wish to read topics related to the board they are in ... after all, that's why our hosts did it this way.

I understand what you are saying Slim and agree with you. But there is no reason to jump down a guys throat because he posted on the wrong board.

Most of the people making the mistakes are new to the board. Give them a break (not just you Slim but everyone). If they make a mistake tell them. But you only have to tell them once and there is no reason for anyone to get upset.

plabonte --- I really don't think anyone here is/was jumping down anyones throat, more like just having a little fun reminding those new folks on why we have four different forums ...

If they weren't reminded in some way ... then these forums could go downhill really fast ...

... and for all who read these posts, it lets them know also ...

My mistake then Slim. I read the other apology thread and it seemed kind of heated to me. I couldn't tell if it was good natured ribbing or if people were getting upset.

Just wanted to put my $.02 worth in that sometimes a newbie might not understand that you are giving them some chin music.

My apology was real. But c'mon guys, it may have been a touch inflammatory, but posting here was intentional.

And humorously ironic. 😉

Folks.........let it die a natural death.......and let's move on. Too much energy expended for no purpose........We're all human and we'll all make mistakes....Now and in the future.

We post (and I'm as guilty of this as anyone) and we forget that the message recipient doesn't have the advantage of seeing our non-verbal body language, expression, inflection of voice, etc. So we may be sometimes misinterpreted..........

Just let it go.........and let's move on.........just my thoughts...........
