In the latest (April 2004) issue of CA, the Don Tomas Cameroon Collection Perfecto #1 tied with the Padron Serie 1926 #2 Belicoso - in the figurado category.

I have never smoked a Don Tomas Cameroon Collection. However, I have smoked a 1926 Padron, and it was a GREAT!!! smoke.

Has anyone out there smoked a Don Tomas Cameroon Collection? Is it really as good as a 1926 PAN? If so, I need to get a box!

Yea, some people do like to call things they don't like names, whatever. Going against 'them' though I have to say I really like the Don Tomas Cameroons. I haven't had the Padron to compare it (I can't believe they do compare, honestly) so I'll leave it there.

I'd suggest you try the Don Tomas Cameroons, they're worth a shot. Oh, listen to what slimboli told you (don't beleive everything you read), give them a shot. Some people forget that we all have different tastes and some might like what others don't.

Also....some people buy the high end PAN's "because they can". And would most likely never be caught smoking a 2 or 3 dollar cigar,if it was good or not.

IF YOU LIKE IT,SMOKE IT! That's what it's all about when it comes to taste.

Alot of these guys are good at advise and all.except when you tell them that you have found a cheap cigar that is as good as their high dollar one.

Well,
Don Tomas Cameroon is one of my go to cigars.
I have yet to get one that is plugged. Usually they are a great draw and have a good cameroon taste.

I still haven't figured out why some folks don't like them, but that is ok. Smoke what you like, that is the bottom line. I have tried some expensive cigars that were supposed to be great and found them to be not to my liking. So it is a preferance thing. No one is wrong though, as it is what they prefer.

I love the don Tomas Cameroon collection.
That being said, comparing them to a PAN, no F*cking way.

The absolute #1 very best cigar in the world? Your personal favorite.

Smoke it and decide for yourself.

Oh... and I think the Don Tomas Candelas are pretty good, for a mild cigar.

I have enjoyed the flavor profile of the Don Tomas Cameroon Collection, have yet to have problems with them. The draw on these have been fantastic (I only have smoked the Robusto's). I have been on a cameroon kick lately and these are good.

I just smoke a Don Thomas last week. I don't know how old this was but it had some age on it. It was a natural, a thin gold band that had oval with Don Thomas in cursive text.

Dang it was goooood, can anybody out there give me an indication on how old this may have been.

A Don Tomas Cameroon Collection Perfecto #1 was my final smoke today. It's a good cigar, but not great, imho. This wasn't my first DTCC#1 & I prefer the Robusto size for this line of Cameroons. It was my selection because of its size [not much time to smoke it] & this thread. Satisfying, yes; sublime, no.
