Prices seem to be escalating upward across the board....I'm sure CBID management is happy.

I wonder if this is indicitive of anything...perhaps an improving economy?

I bid 12.00 because I wanted to try one.

Are they nuts?

Bids are going very high now on everything.

I don't get it!

I think I've won 2 auctions in the last 3 weeks. . . . . . I haven't seen any really decent deals as of late. . . . I'm getting more and more emails from cbid than I ever have. . . .I'm sure it's cyclical, and we'll see a decrease in prices eventually. . .

The prices don't seem too bad overall, but I have seen a jump in the last 1-1/2 years. I don't get it either- I know that it's not the economy. Maybe, more people are "sampling" cigars/booze in lieu of vacation travel. Thus, the bidding goes up.

I subscribe to a "cigar search" service for $39.95/year. It has a database of over 50 tobacconists & can give me a the best price for a specific cigar (box or 5 qty). I've saved hundreds of dollars in the last year.

Let me know if you're interested.

Now, if that were a bundle for that price I'd be impressd. I hate to burst your bubble KNOF, but that is not a $4 stick.

Hmmmm, do any of you that accused me of spending my hard earned $$$ on these see my initials labled "Sucker" as a winning bid? NOPE!!!

I was bidding on them up to $12- and saw how high they were when I discovered my loss. LOL!!!

Again, I want to emphasize that I thank these fine people to allow me to continue to bid accordingly, heheheee!!!

Yes I have CI as a favorite and all of you should learn that too. I know some of you do. LOL!

Knof I was going to make a comment on your behalf earlier, but I figured I would let you do it.

To those who are back to beating a dead horse:

Always watch and wait. Bid low and stay there. Don't let temptation take your bid any higher than you are comfortable with. Never bid more than 90% the CI price. Shipping will cost you as well, unless you win a bunch on the same day and can benefit from the shipping savings.

ALWAYS look at CI prices first and we can all get a good laugh at the @$$#o!&$ who bid over the top.

You can look anywhere on the bid lots and find plenty of too high bids.

Funny you guys mention this. I have been wanting to try some of these, but was shocked when I saw a $20 bid on them yesterday morning. I actually thought they'd go higher than this.

I always wonder why they just don't buy straight from CI.

For the 4th time, I have watched a box of cigars go for more than can be bought off auction.

And another is about to do the same with 3 days left until the auction.

I don't hardly bother with the auctions anymore.

I know, more for you all. LOL!

It might be possible that those overbidding dont know about CI. I was on this site for about a month before I stumbled onto CI, and only then b/c I figured out what *CI* was on these boards.

I also haven't been able to score a deal lately but at least they're keeping CI open and thus our prices low.

Happy bidding!

Hey misterzippo,

It works opposite too, heheheeee.

I have met so many people that buy their smokes from CI, and don't know about CBid. Everyone that buys from CI is very happy with their prices. Now what will they feel after they visit CBid.

Duh, as long as they aren't the ones to outbid me, heheheee.

I put in a bid on some LFD2K #4 5-packs a couple weeks ago. My auto-bid was a few cents higher per stick than I can get them by the box online. I got outbid by $3 per 5er. No prob. I'll buy nuther box.
