Just wanted to say hello to everyone here. I have been smoking occasionally since I received a Humidor from my kids last year, but just recently started trying different cigars. The more I read about different brands and the more i try,the more I want to try! Its a vicious circle! Some of my favs so far have been a Monte#2,CAD Gold Torpedo, and just tried a Padron 500 tonight ans have to add it to my list.
I'm mighty glad I found CI cause I can tell already I'll be saving some money here.Actually I might not be saving too much money since i have a limited amount I can spend,I'll just get to try out more cigars for my "allowance". I did win a couple of auction's for some 5+ years old Royal Jamaica. i'll have to say they came to my home fast and the one I tried is wonderful.Looks like I'll need a bigger Humindor before long. Mine is a 25-50 jobber.
Anyway.........Hello To All

Thanks for the warm welcomes and also the vote of confidence on being able to restrain myself from going overboard here! haha.
Actually I need to buy a travel Humi first as I travel alot, some by airplane but most often by tour bus. I play music for a living out of Nashville here,(Living is loosely used).
Thanks again for the welcome wagon,I think I'll like it here just fine.
Adios John

nashvilletitans- Welcome to cigarbid. There is no ointment for that bite, but there are some great BOTL around here who are more than willing to help with any questions you might have. Pretty soon you'll be wondering where all that money went and you'll find it in tour humidors. And I do mean humidors.

Now, with all seriousness you need to do a search on the forums for tupperdor, coolerdor, sweaterdor, these are homemade humidors that work just as well as anything else. I think most of us found out the hard way, and that little humidor of yours won't last.

If you are looking for a great travel humidor I suggest looking at an otterbox. They make many different sizes and colors.

Thanks again for the info yall. I think I'll start a coolerdor or sweaterdor this coming week. I might be able to check with a couple of cigar shops I've been frequenting here and get a couple of empty boxes for the spanish cedar. I love DIY stuff so this will be fun.

john: i've gotta recommend that you try any of the cigars in the Toraño line, but i especially recommend that you try the gold 1959 exodus first. then the silver exodus, then the signature, then the 1916 cammie... unless, of course, you can get your hands on a Tribute, in which case, go for that! 🙂

welcome aboard, and yes -- DIY projects are great! and if you fall in love with cigars as i have in just a short time, you'll be looking at every container you see and wondering if you can make a _____-ador out of it! 🙂
