I bought a 5 pack of these a couple of weeks ago and just somked the second one. Appearance is gorgeous with a nice oily wrapper. However, I was disappointed with the smoke. Started out nice, but became flat and one dimensional. By the end, tasted like I was just smoking ash. I really want to like these. Anyone else have this experience or did I just get a couple of duds?

On another note: I've been buying from CBid for about two years and mainly lurking on the boards. Any question I've had has been easily answered by searching. I'm headed to CigarFest next month, but by myself. A friend that I thought was going with me, had to bail out and never bought a ticket. Hoping to meet you regulars and forming some new friendships. See you guys in a couple of weeks.

My GF and I really enjoy the TVS', I agree with your assesment, they do "flatten out" for lack of a better term, but they dont LOSE flavor. They are a nice change of pace smoke.

Try letting the rest sit for a while. I've found that extra time aging seems to even the flavor out quite nicely. With some additional resting time, this is a thoroughly enjoyable smoke.

The TVS were rushed to market by U.S.Cigar Sales far before they were ready. The box I bought when they were first released is just coming into its own.

The ones I have tried have all had a weird metalic taste to them. Even after some nap time. X

I like them and they have a nice kick.

To me, it's just another example of how aging can improve any cigar. I'd agree with you all on first taste. However, after about 12-16 mos. in the humi, it makes all the difference in the world. Now they are premium smokes. At least every one I've tried so far, with that kind of aging on them. My recommendation: put them aside and forget about them for a year+..............then try them again............Just my thoughts........

I usually enjoy the tvs robusto and continue to purchase 5 packs. They're best when I take my time.
