Billy...you got me.

I finally dug into my little humidor and discovered this unbanded treasure.

It cut with a deft precision.

I held it to my lips and breathed in the soil that was once a living organism. The musty dankness permeated my tastebuds.

I toasted the foot. I circled the handiwork of a masterful roller around a dancing butane flame. It ignited into a bright orange glow without even an inhale. The first puff of this cigar left me no doubt that this was going to be an earth moving experience.

The musky aroma filled the lanai with it's rich Cuban tobacco scent. I tapped off the first ash after an inch and a half and exposed a perfect nubbed glowing ember. The flavor was divine. Each exale left me craving more of this wonderful cigar.

I used my Golf Colibri and it's divot tool as a makeshift roach clip ( At least I think that's what it's called...I could be wrong though!) and was able to burn this down until it came close to burning my lips. This was without a doubt what a cigar should be. I didn't drink a thing. I didn't want anything between me and my tastebuds to deter me from experiencing this EXCELLENT cigar.

The cigar...A Cuban H.Upmann magnum.

Thank you Billy for opening that German treasure trove and sending one my way. Here's to you! Thanks Bro!

MEGA-HOO-AHHH!

Wow... best I ever had is a Cuban Cohiba. Probably said that a dozen times already but I just love them. Esplendido, robusto, corona... all great.

This is a thread that makes me go ...."hmmmmmm".

On Jan. 1 of this last New Year, I won Billy's Legendary "PIF". It was a great honor recieving such a fine package, and a man of great cigars such as he, even went as far as to say, some of the best cigars in the world will be included.

...Well let me tell you, it was an awesome package.....

BUT...

There were 2 unbanded beauties, in a larger corona size(short lonsdale), and even after asking in 3 or 4 e-mails what they were....he never told me. What a fine BOTL he is....for the bittersweet suspense.

I have not touched them yet, but after reading this.....I am gonna torch those SOB's. And maybe....just maybe...he'll fill me in on what they were.

Great Review, and I apologize if this is seen as a threadjack in any way.

Guess it's time to try one of these. Got a Sir Winston from Billy that has been sleeping here for over 6 months and I believe he ages them a year or two himself.

HU is one bran I have yet to try.

I am shocked and amazed!

It wasnt a Bucanero.

Im with basstonedudester666. Have yet to sample an Upman from the dark side. I guess its time.

I can't decide if my "best" is the Siglio VI the Boli Corona Gigante, or maybe a PSD4. It seems to depend on which cigar I smoked last.

gorob23 --- you can still find his cigars at the Casino Nova Scotia.

A trio of Halifax cigar aficionados - Paul Stulac, Lisa Risley, and Elizabeth Wagner - learned they had been chosen to operate a high-end cigar boutique in the commercial area of the casino.

LOL at beat. I think the best I have had to date was the PSD #3 EL from Tberry.
