I left the ship at noon today, because I can sometimes. Went to the gym, did my routine and came home and showered. Went out into the back yard, sat in the rocking chair under the patio and fired up a Cuban Cohiba Robusto.

Castro knows his smokes man!! Beautiful brown oily wrapper that fired up nicely. I V-cut it and it lit perfectly, burned perfectly, had a perfect draw and tons of billowy, oily smoke!! OMG I was in back-yard heaven!! This is by far the best smoke in the world. I've only got 9 left so it is time to order more...

we need to talk.

glad to see someone mention JuanLopez#1...on the other hand maybe they should stay under known. Started smoking them 2 years ago, found them in Geneva...an EXCELLENT under rated/appreciated Cigar. My first post on this board!

welcome to the board, jlo. 🙂

awesome review there, shawn. "only 9 left" he says. *chuckle* yes, DO talk to bassdude! *nodnod*

i've got one of these (churchill size though) sitting in a hallowed place in my humi. it's got a box of its own, and if our house ever catches fire i'm gonna grab it before i go! a very good friend gave this to me, and i keep thinking that it's going to require one hell of a special occasion to get me to smoke it. but ya know... there's not one of us that's promised a next special occasion or another new year to ring in, etc., so i may just have to have a hearty breakfast and light it up. and when i do, i will toast to every one of ya's here.

I gotta agree with you guys, the Juan Lopez line is awesome. I smoked the gorda size on my last trip to Vegas, and it was by far the best smoke of the trip (which included PAM torp, VSG Spellbound, Torano Tribute, CAO, Buc, RyJ 007, Gurkha, 858 SG and more others than I can recall).

Watch out though, some might tell you that it really wasn't that good of a smoke, rather it was simply the mystique that you liked!

If you can get the Juun Lopez #2--do it. This is a deep, earthy and well balanced cigar. It is very rare and even difficult to get in Cuba. Very limited quantities made.
