I was wondering which do you prefer...I've been reading and researching many posts, there's alot of helpful information. The large sweater box and rubbermaid are not sealed well.Tupperware is small. The coolers are air tight, which makes me think they would be better humi's.

Of course I need spanish cedar to line the inside. Do you generally line the entire inside or 5"-6" inches high?

I've been working/bidding on building up my stash. I've got a nice selection of mid-priced and bundles..I'll work on the ISOM's later.

Some of the pictures have been a great reference.

i have been using the sweater box for years for my overflow with no problem.

the best, tightest sealed humidor i have is the one that shows up here ocassionaly. the ammo box that came with 25 bohemians. every so often an empty one will appear at auction. buy one. it rarely needs attention.

But seriously... I have 2 colemanadors..54 qt and 48 qt that work excellant. I use the cedar boxes many cigars come in for the cedar touch..

I know a couple of people with refridadoors. Of course, they are unplugged, but the seal is pretty good and with enough spanish cedar, it makes for a good long-term storage area.

Best deal I've found so far is at Sam's Club. They have the Igloo Polar120 (120 quart) Ice Chest for $39.95. They're not always in stock, just at certain times of the year. Since I use the two I have primarily for box storage (with cello off), I haven't bothered to line them with cedar. Probably would if I were going to store loose cigars in it.

BTW, with small tupperware containers filled with beads and the tops drilled with holes, I have had no problem at all keeping the RH at 65 degrees (I keep mine dryer because I've found it cuts down on any draw problems significantly, with no reduction in flavor that I can determine).

Just my thoughts....................

Coolidor is insulated for less heat fluctuation. I have 1 nice coolidor and 1 tupper. Both maintain constant humidity with nearly no maintenance.

Thanks for all the info. I'll let you all know what i've built when it's done. I've actually started thinking of a premium and everyday coolidor/rubbermaididor/sweatidor/ammo box.

I will keep the boxes in tact for the cedar. My tupperware will hold my 5 pk. purchases.

Ready to move to the next level...the more i buy the more i smoke!!!

have to agree with AZ-Ron, I flew to Tuscon this week, traveldor was used up, abused in Iraq and back, so I tucked 4 gars in a cedar HOYO Excalibur box with a small spunge dipped in distilled water (yea I know) but it makes a great travel companion.
