Reuters reports that "Barack Obama's big speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple."

Greek, Roman, whatever.

"All hail, Cheeser!"

The Obama halo is pretty cool.

Is that romane or iceburg?

^Giant basil, maybe?

And I didn't know that was a halo around his head -- I thought it was a space helmet.

Why does he feel the need to deliver his acceptance at the football stadium? Isn't the convention floor and the DNC delegates, where he should be? Has any other nominee making their acceptance ever done something like this before?

I'm not entirely convinced young voters are going to rally behind THAT "herb."

I think it's arugula actually.

^"Arugula"?!?!

I bet you wouldn't have said that if he were white.

Before I was in this weelchair, no one talked to me like that and got away with it. I guess it's cool to pick on a cripple.

*sigh* Scott, not you, too? I mean, I realize your leanings are towards the elephant side, but this is a bit much, isn't it? You're smarter than that, and that includes the spiffy graphics. At leat concoct some impossibly complicated rumor that spins the media in circles for two weeks or something. How hard could it be? Shoot, all it took recently was a claim that someone found bigfoot.

^I am NOT smarter than that -- and how DARE you insinuate otherwise?!

(Wait a minute...)

Okay, in all seriousness: I don't hate Obama -- I try to take him at his word and remind myself that he probably means well. I just think it's funny that -- according to Reuters -- he's going to give his acceptance speech in a faux Greek temple (visions of "Spinal Tap's" Stonehenge fiasco are flashing through my addled brain!).

"The temple is HUGE -- it's, like, 100" across!"

#12 It's just that so many here mistake volume for logic. It is a very nicely done pic, but silly. You're better than that.

Well, that's what you keep telling me, anyway.

TG is right: arugula. I used to work on an herb farm in Oceanside that was the country's largest supplier.

It is there for a reason, too. BHO made a comment about arugula during the primaries, and everyone called him elitist for it. Google it yourself.

I think the message across the top is hysterical.

I think this overproduction of his acceptance speech is overkill, and may come back to bite him before the election.
