Looks like Jeffords will chair the Environmental committee within the senate. As an "independent". Could this ploy be based not on ideals but rather on the fact that his liberal tendencies got him shunned by the republicans and embraced by the democrats? Amazing how the democrats on this board applaud his dishonesty. How they embrace his lack of integrity. Looks like Clinton has certainly left his mark on the Liberals. Not only do they lack self respect and morals, but they encourage others to do the same. Makes me sick.

Heard the "distinguished" (barf) Sen Tom Daschel today on tv lauding the way he was going to "push my parties ideals" and grinning like Alfred E. Newman with the silly "what me worry" smile!
