OK folks, here is the situation; I have an annual fishing trip coming up, just the men of my family, to a nice little trout lake on the back side of Yosemite here in California. We get to the lake mid-day, spend two more full days there, and leave half way through the fourth day. All of my collecting cigars of late has lead up to this, four days of a non-stop one-man herf. I am going to make every effort to burn out the best of the best of my meager collection on this one weekend.

I could use your input.

I have a list of the cigars that I want to smoke this weekend, and since I have only smoked a grand total of ONE (the Exodus) of these cigars before (and 2.5 ISOM's ever) I could use your advice on a Morning to Evening, Mild to Full order in which to smoke them.

I have broken the list down to 4 smokes a day (2 for half-days) and a list of pinch hitters. If you could give me a list of the daily order in which I should fire up these bad-boys, I will not only be grateful and in your debt, but I will make it worth your while. Since I am pretty much smoking the best of what I have, you will be playing for one of my homebrew beers and a 5-pack of decent smokes, including one AF Short Story. I will post this on Cbid and CW for a week, pick the list I like the best on Friday (4-16) and ship your cigars as soon as I can after that date.

Here we Go!!!

Friday:

1. Torano Exodus 1959 Gold Torpedo.

2. ISOM Cohiba 7x48.

Saturday:

3. CAO Gold Cedar Wrapped Torpedo.

4. La Aurora Preferencia Maduro.

5. CAO MX2 6x52.

6. Opus X Double Corona.

Sunday:

7. Fuente Hemmingway Short Story.

8. Montecristo White Label 7x42.

9. ISOM Hoyo de Monterey Churchill.

10. ISOM Romeo y Julieta Churchill Tubos.

Monday:

11. ISOM Montecristo #4.

12. Ghurka Centurion Double X.

14. ISOM Bolivar Robusto.

15. Sherpa Dos Capas.

16. CAO Brazilia Torpedo.

17. Fuente Cedar-wrapped Torpedo.

18. Drew Estates Egg.

Thank you in advance for playing, and ONCE AGAIN a deep and sincere thank-you to all of you who recognize these smokes as the ones you, in your kindness, have supplied me with!!! Oh, and I suppose I could use advice on how to avoid nicotine poisoning as well, this will be a whole lot more cigars than I am used to smoking, but I have nothing to do except smoke a cigar and hold a fishing pole, so…….

Just my opinion here, but I would take that ISOM Bolivar out of the clean-up spot and put it in the rotation for Saturday. OMG they are good.

Okay... I a$$ed that up. What I meant to say was take it out of the pinch-hitter spot and have it bat clean-up on saturday. *stupid brain...*

You need to set aside a great deal of time for that Egg!

I have smoked two and each took almost three hours.

What Cavallo said.

I wouldn't start the day with the short story. The Montie White would be the choice for breakfast gar'.

I will skip that egg at the end....... I could not get that thing to burn at all, it was impossible to smoke it and forget all those advertisement of 2 hours of enjoyment, what so ever. It hardly has any smoke come out of it and you can suck and suck on that thing but it jsut wont draw...... JMO

The short story is pretty mild if you've got some age on it. I've got a couple of the 15-month age SS's, and they're a lot milder than the Monte White (since these babies just got released last fall).

I'd list them (according to what I have that's close to your list):

Friday:

1. Torano Exodus 1959 Gold Torpedo.

2. ISOM Cohiba 7x48.

Saturday:

3. CAO Gold Cedar Wrapped Torpedo.

6. Opus X Double Corona.

9. ISOM Hoyo de Monterey Churchill.

13. ISOM Romeo y Julieta Bellicoso.

Sunday:

8. Montecristo White Label 7x42.

5. CAO MX2 6x52.

16. CAO Brazilia Torpedo.

10. ISOM Romeo y Julieta Churchill Tubos.

Monday:

7. Fuente Hemmingway Short Story.

11. ISOM Montecristo #4.

Ending each day with an ISOM. 😃

The Cohiba looks like an Esplendido, and if it is, you might want to bring another cigar in case of it being plugged. I've both experienced and heard that the Esplendido have major problem with the draw.

No need to send me anything if I win though, I'm glad to help out. My friends and I always plan what to bring for our herf. 1 cigar between courses of dinner, and those nights were awesome.

yatang,

Are you sure you cut the right end? 🙂

I have had two eggs and neither was a problem other than after two hours, you are ready to give up and just pass out from all of the joyous nic and smoke.

From what I have been told, it takes a real man to take it all the way back to the narrow part on the back side.

I too am taking a mini-vacation over the weekend and it will be my first chance to vget down to some serious herfin. Since I haven't smoked anything on your list I can't give you any advice but I will say this. I will be arriving in San Francisco to see my favorite band about the same time you will be getting to Yosemite and I too will be lighting up A Torano 1959 Exodus Gold. Here's hoping we both made the right choice...you in the woods and me on the shores of the pacific

All Right!! Gettin' some good ideas, right now I am liking either "start your day with an ISOM" or "End your day with and ISOM" or maybe "Two days of the ISOM?" Yeee-freakin'-haaaa!!!

Archimark1 said "...four days of a non-stop one-man herf."

Out of all this that's the idea that I'll have to put into action one day. 😎
