Well The Great North West Box Pass is over. The box has finished its trip. It took 25 days to go to 11 passers, that’s just over 2 days per person, approximately 1200 miles traveled, and it was only shipped twice; once to get it started from me and once more to get it up to Washington from Oregon, that’s quite a feat.
It all started as an idea and ended up being a big success. I’ve said it before, this was a good learning experience for me. From just reading about what a box pass is, to seeing it through… I’ve learned a lot. In this process I got a lot of help, two people specifically: al’Thor (Ethan) he’s the one who told me that I could do this. He sent me the rules, told me what I’d need to start, answered any questions, and suggested I talk to turnberry to get higher quality smokes to begin with. Thank you al’Thor. You all know that turnberry was instrumental in seeing that this box got started off on the right foot with some nice cigars. He is truly a great guy and everyone who has had any contact with Fred knows of his generous nature and that he has a certain presence about him. That’s why we call him “The Godfather”. Much obliged Fred. There’s one more thank you, and it goes out to all the players. Without you this box pass wouldn’t have been as fun or fulfilling if you hadn’t signed up. You took the time to do as many handoffs as possible. That was really cool. Thank you very very much.

FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE FINAL THOUGHTS!!

The wife and I were traveling to eastern Washington for the weekend so it only made sense to take the box, for it's last leg, and deliver it back to it's origin!

We met Thom at his home and as soon as he opened the box he knew he had a problem. Thom will be investing in more humidors I think.... or keeping the gars in their "Tupperdors" for awhile.

We then proceeded over to "The TAV" (a nice local hangout). Thom's sweetie, Candace, joined us and we all had a very enjoyable evening of great burgers, brews, conversation and of course seeeeeeegars.
Got a great shot of Thom and I and will be posting it as soon as I get it downloaded.

It was a true pleasure getting to spend some time with Thom and Candace and the next time we head "east of the mountains" we will definitely look them up again.

BTW, I've developed all the pictures taken with the box pass cameria and I've created a cool looking collage. I want to post them all but there are 15 pictures and I don't want to post one at a time. This is one of the best box pass I am ever in........ What am I talking about, this is the second one I am in 🙂 But honestly Thom, I have so much fun and it was great to meet some great guys like Dave, Rick, Steve, maui, and you. I am looking forward to meet some more of you Washington BOTLs in the future.

Oh, one more thing I really want to say thanks to Steve(SA), he is definately one of the most generous guys I ever known. We met up yesterday and he brought me another Cohiba to try because the one I had didn't burn well. Thanks again for making me feel special Steve. All of you guys are great, thanks again!

In Phoenix enjoying some golf and pool time with the family. The NW boxpass was great fun and created some new friends along the way which was the best part. Glad it worked out well and many thanks to Thom for taking the lead to put this one together. See ya' later I'm heading to the first tee!
